Notability

edit

Hi Offexp, thank you for participating in Wikipedia. I know you're new around here, and I'm sorry that your introduction to our community involves having your hard work nominated for deletion. I hope I'm proven wrong, and that the article is deemed notable, and is improved upon. I saw your note at the AfD page for Nino Ruef, and hope to be able to save you some frustration. Please take some time and read Wikipedia's policies on notability. You'll notice that sites like twitter and facebook don't help establish notability. You also might take some time and read Referencing for Beginners which has some good ideas on finding sources. These policies are essential, but to be frank they are long, boring, and confusing. If you have any questions about them, please feel free to ask me questions on my talk page. I hope that helps. All the best, 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 22:59, 21 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Comments of others

I'm pretty sure [this] was accidental, but you modified the comments of another user, which is not allowed. I had do undo your edit, which unfortunately included some additional information by yourself. Please feel free to re-add your comments, I would do it but then the comments would be under my name, and not yours. A couple more pointers. First, on all talk pages please sign your comments. You can do this by typing four tildes ("~~~~") after your message/comments. Also, make sure your first character is not indented. Wiki markup isn't HTML, and when you do that your message does not display correctly and is difficult to read. Thanks! 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 12:53, 22 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

No, it's not okay. Deb (talk) 18:07, 13 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Why is it not okay!? She sits right next to me and said its OK. Offexp (talk) 18:53, 13 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Pardon the interruption, Deb: the Pope sits next to me, and he says we should all quit trying to re-create articles about people we know after an Articles For Deletion discussion arrived at a clear consensus to delete. Dai Pritchard (talk) 18:57, 13 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

It was deleted because i did not add any press releases but he just was on a live tv show at a primetime place on one of the biggest channels here talking about the business, as a linked in the new article so this was the thing. I dont see why it was deleted again...Offexp (talk) 18:59, 13 February 2015 (UTC) Oh men, greetings to the pope! Must be a really stunning person! Would also like to meet him once, lucky you!Offexp (talk) 19:00, 13 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
