Hello Pbritti, I am really surprised that this article was rejected. Similar articles on this subject already exist in German, Czech, Esperanto, Dutch, Polish and Slovak language. What is wrong with the sources I provided, why do you not regard them as reliable etc.? Oberschwabe01 (talk) 15:45, 22 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi, Oberschwabe01, thanks for asking! First off, I should explain that your draft was declined at present, rather than rejected. A declined draft is very much welcomed to be improved so that it can be approved and published at a later date. If you plan on doing improvements, now is the time: the AfC WikiProject is in the midst of a backlog drive, so your draft will almost certainly be reviewed almost immediately after it is submitted. If you wait until after November ends, your draft could go unreviewed for a few months.
As to what to change so that it can be approved, I recommend you read Wikipedia:Notability, particularly the section WP:GNG, and Wikipedia:Verifiability. The first establishes what you'll need to demonstrate that the subject is sufficiently notable to warrant an article (you can find more information directly relating to the notability of regions here). To reduce this all to its most basic form, drafts are almost always approved if they have citations from at least three reliable sources that provide significant coverage of the subject. The other major concern is the ensure that all content in an article is referenced (again, see the verifiability policy). If you have lingering questions, you can ask here or at the Teahouse. Welcome to Wikipedia, and I hope to see you around! ~ Pbritti (talk) 16:14, 22 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hello Pbritti, I added more content and especially various new citation sources. Is everything fine now? Oberschwabe01 (talk) 13:24, 23 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello The Herald,
I am a bit confused by the feedback about the references, which according to your feedback are all: not in-depth, not reliable, not secondary, not independent.
Honestly, I do not understand the feedback. I did not use primary sources, they are indeed covering the topic in-depth (books with many, many pages), I am sure they are all regarded as reliable in Germany.
There is a similar article in German Wikipedia (more paragraphs, but the entire article is based pretty much on the same sources:
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schönhengstgau
That the topic is of general relevance I think is proofed by the fact that there are also existing articles in these languages:
Czech: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schönhengstgau
Esperanto: https://eo.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hřebečsko
Dutch: https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hřebečsko
Polish: https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hřebečsko
Slovakian: https://sk.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hřebečsko
In addition my draft includes a lot of links to already existing English articles - especially in the History section - so I think this gives additional context and shows that I did not invent something on my own?
So can you please explain in specific what's wrong with the sources I used?
Thank you! Oberschwabe01 (talk) 06:08, 14 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
