edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Datacomp 404 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Midhart90 (talk) 14:50, 7 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Likely continued edits via several IP addresses

edit

This user has likely continued edits via several IP addresses. See my comments on talk pages for 213.55.73.49 and 213.55.73.51. I think the user is confused about using Wikipedia or has a technical issue, but I'll kick it up to administrators. Proxyma (talk) 01:02, 25 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

I found two more IP addresses where this is happening: 213.55.73.37 and 213.55.73.112. I reverted edits and posted warnings. I will pass those additional IP's along to administrators. Proxyma (talk) 01:40, 25 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

This editor has been disrupting Wikipedia for quite a while now, and needs to be stopped. Toccata quarta (talk) 07:09, 25 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
Looks like another of this user's IPSocks undid your comment. I added the IPSock tag to the talk page for that address (213.55.73.57). I see a notice on that talk page that the ISP is AfriNIC and apparently there's a process to report abuse. All of the offending IP addresses are within a short range, so it might make sense. The only problem is, we probably haven't hit the block thresholds for WP:ABUSE. That's hard to do since these are dynamically assigned IP's. Proxyma (talk) 05:07, 7 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
This can probably easily dealt with a range block. See [1]. This is not a case for WP:ABUSE, I just added the notice to easily see the ISP. Ginsuloft (talk) 11:19, 7 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello. There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Ginsuloft (talk) 11:19, 7 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

For our records, this behavior recurred in November 2013 from IP addresses 213.55.73.57 and 213.55.73.37. Proxyma (talk) 00:57, 17 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

And again from 213.55.73.49. Proxyma (talk) 02:26, 18 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • These addresses belong to Ethio Telecom, not AfriNIC. If anyone's considering a range block, keep in mind that Ethio Telecom is pretty much the only ISP for the entire country; presumably one range might cover an entire town. If someone is caught in the collateral damage, it's not as if they can simply try again from home or go to another wi-fi hotspot, because they're all on Ethio Telecom. (On the other hand, I'm not really seeing useful edits coming out of this range.) -- Gyrofrog (talk) 15:54, 18 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

I think I would need to be an administrator to add this as a template, but for easy access here's a link to the full list of suspected IPSocks: Category:Suspected_Wikipedia_sockpuppets_of_Nurhusien. Proxyma (talk) 01:17, 17 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
