Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Nikalotta. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Niki Randa, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
  • instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. My name isnotdave (talk/contribs) 22:02, 14 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • As well as you having a conflict of interest, it is unfortunate that the article doesn't meet WP:NSINGER -- I quote from that page: "Note that members of notable bands are redirected to the band's article, not given individual articles, unless they have demonstrated individual notability for activity independent of the band, such as solo releases. Singers and musicians who are only notable for participating in a reality television series may be redirected to an article about the series, until they have demonstrated that they are independently notable." I cannot verify any independent notability of yourself. My name isnotdave (talk/contribs) 22:14, 14 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

  Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Niki Randa. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Because the autobiography template notifies other users of your conflict with the article, you may not remove it from the top of the article.C.Fred (talk) 23:08, 14 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
