Welcome to Wikipedia, Nightwing Returns! I am QuasiAbstract and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for vandalism.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Swarm 19:59, 25 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I didn't do anything wrong. I didn't vandalize anything. I merely stated that I read he died of AIDS. If it's not true, it can be fixed. It's no big deal. Certainly not a vandalization. I've contributed a lot over the years. I understand that I did not provide a source, and for that I do sincerely apologise. Forgive me. Nightwing Returns (talk) 20:16, 25 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

When you are ready to respond to the question below, and can provide the information requested, please use the {{unblock}} template again with your response, and the requested information. SQLQuery me! 03:21, 26 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • No, you falsely claimed that you were "fixing a factual error" in your edit summary, when in reality you were inserting unsourced and unverifiable information to a biography of a recently-deceased person, in breach of WP:BLP, and then repeatedly re-added it without providing a source, in violation of WP:V. So, that by itself is a big deal. That's not to mention the fact that you were saying he died of AIDS, which obviously looks like vandalism. I will give you a chance to rewrite this unblock request in order to better comply with WP:GAB, but I'm not buying that your edits were not vandalism and will be revoking your talk page access if you fail to do so, because your current one seems frivilous. • Further details are needed. Please provide the source that you supposedly derived that information from, as you're claiming that you were simply updating the article in good faith to reflect a source you read, and not intending to vandalize. If that is truly the case, I find it hard to believe that you don't understand how the misunderstanding happened and feel you are being unfairly blocked and now "blackmailed". I would think you would be working with me to try to clear up the misunderstanding. If it was a dumb joke, just admit it and promise not to do it again and we'll give you another chance. It looks like a first offense. Swarm 21:10, 25 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
