February 2015 edit

Hello, I'm C.Fred. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Template:-spermia without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! —C.Fred (talk) 00:21, 8 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for February 28 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Funkspiel, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Resistance. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Previewing your changes edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In the future, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made, reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The "show preview" button is right next to the "save page" button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. I've reverted your recent changes to Neurophysiology as the removal of categories and other templates, capitalizing of words that are not proper nouns, removal of references and other content suggest you might be in need of more help in editing. One way to achieve what you are doing it to use the Preview buttonand not submit your changes until they are ready; another is to use the Sandbox. Hope that helps, Stephenb (Talk) 12:52, 29 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

February 2016 edit

Hello, I'm Stephenb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Neurophysiology has been undone because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Your text seems to have been taken from:[1] which is a potential copyright violation Stephenb (Talk) 13:05, 29 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

March 2016 edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from History of neuroscience into Neurophysiology. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has not been provided for this situation! If you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. At the very least, we must declare which page we're copying from - do you intend to precis the text you've copied? I ask this because thus far, you seem to have effectively duplicated a page which already exists. Please, slow down and think about what you're doing - preferably before you do it. And please, provide accurate, descriptive edit summaries.Haploidavey (talk) 11:20, 2 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

I've had to revert all your changes to Neurophysiology, for reasons given above. You are very welcome to continue editing the article, but before you do, please carefully read the welcome notice (at the top of this page), and follow the advice it gives. I'm watching your talk-page, and will respond to any questions or queries you have. Haploidavey (talk) 12:24, 2 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Capitals in personal names and in nouns edit

Hello again. Glad to see you've slowed down your editing, and are no longer cut and pasting chunks of text. A couple of issues remain; firstly, please don't capitalise nouns unless they begin a sentence, or are "proper names" or "trade-names - please read WP:MOSCAPS for guidance. And secondly, your edit summary of "fixed typo" has proven appropriate only in some cases; name initials are not "typos" to be fixed. Best, Haploidavey (talk) 23:02, 3 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please read up on what a proper noun is, to see why I have yet again reverted your edits to Neurophysiology. Thanks, Stephenb (Talk) 09:20, 4 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your request for deletion of account edit

Like you, I'm an ordinary editor. I'm not an administrator or arbitrator, and therefore have no special powers, such as deleting accounts or users' details (where these exist).

Wikipedia has to account for all content and all changes to content. It must maintain a record of who did what, and to which article; so accounts are deleted only under exceptional circumstances. You are able to delete the content of your user-page, but not its name, or its history, or the history of your contributions; nor the contributions themselves. You are also allowed to open another account, under a different user-name, as long as you place a note on top of the new user-page, with a link to this (the old) account. Please read WP:Account deletion and WP:right to vanish for more information. All the best, Haploidavey (talk) 10:06, 4 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
