Previous accounts edit

Hello Did you ever edit under any other user names in wikipedia?Thanks--Shrike (talk) 17:02, 5 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

No, I never had other accounts. Why? Have I done anything wrong? Nescio vos (talk) 21:40, 5 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
I don't know becouse I have not checked your edits in depth anyhow as there is a lot of banned editors its a letigamate question. As the I/P area is a convtreversal one please be aware that if you don't edit according to wikipedia rules you may face sanctions.--Shrike (talk) 10:26, 6 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Many of Necio vos's edits are undue, in the sense that he is adding extensive, cherry-picked details from very minor, borderline news-worthy articles to a lot of I/P pages. I'll sift through his edits to make sure he following wiki policy. In an number of edits he also practises WP:OR. For example adding articles about "Jewish only car parking" to the Israeli apartheid analogy, even though there's no mention of apartheid in the article that he is citing. Avaya1 (talk) 20:29, 29 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
User:Nescio vos, one thing that would benefit your editing habits would be if you did not create entire new sections across multiple articles on the basis of a single incident mentioned in a newspaper. As User:Avaya1 pointed out, oftentimes this leads to issues of WP:UNDUE. It also is resulting in WP:RECENTISM at various articles you've edited, as well as WP:OFFTOPIC. Remember that Wikipedia articles are in essence encyclopedia articles: their structure should be integrative, not fragmented; cohesive, not erratic. Not everything that sounds interesting in the news needs to be mentioned on Wikipedia, and in fact "most newsworthy events do not qualify for inclusion." Regarding WP:OR, that is above all the most serious criticism relating to your edits, so be particularly careful not to incorporate your own interpretations as part of the process of adding information to articles. I have suggested that if you don't acknowledge the issues raised here or don't adjust your editing patterns to take these issues into account, a WP:RFC/U may be necessary down the road.—Biosketch (talk) 12:07, 1 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

I will be mindful of the above comments from Avaya1 and Biosketch, in particular about WP:OR, though I am not sure I agree with all of them.Nescio vos (talk) 14:12, 18 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Greetings Nescio. I have reverted some of your edits because you mention some works as famous, ground-breaking, etc. but only provided a self-reference to support your claims which is against WP:SELFSOURCE. Please be careful when you make claims of fame. Other editors have already notified you about it. Thank you. EternalFlare (talk) 21:24, 30 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Alstom edit

Hi - no real problem - but it's not usuaal to report contracts a company didn't win eg diff (becuase this happens all the time..) unless there's a special reason. I assume it's mentioned it the right places and will delete this from Alstom unless it is a special case. Thanks.Oranjblud (talk) 19:28, 11 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I noticed you have already deleted the relevant text. In fact there was a special reason: there was a call for boycott of Alstom as a result of its work on the Jerusalem Light Railway. See Abbas Al Lawati (2009-11-17). "Plea to boycott firms with Israel link". Gulf News. I should have been more explicit perhaps. Nescio vos (talk) 16:57, 18 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

December 2013 edit

Hello, I'm Scjessey. I noticed that you made a change to an article, State religion, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Scjessey (talk) 14:51, 29 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

I have now provided the citation and reinstated. Hope that's OK.Nescio vos (talk) 16:32, 29 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
