Copyright problems with File:Britney for SR.jpg
editHello. Concerning your contribution, File:Britney for SR.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.teenhollywood.com. As a copyright violation, File:Britney for SR.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. File:Britney for SR.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.
If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at File talk:Britney for SR.jpg and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) and CC-BY-SA, under CC-BY-SA, or released into the public domain leave a note at File talk:Britney for SR.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on File talk:Britney for SR.jpg.
However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. FASTILY (TALK) 23:08, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
I have tagged all your uploads as not specifying where the images have come from, which is necessary so users can verify the copyright status of the image. I am particularly concerned as at least one of your uploads has been deleted as being found to have been taken from a website and was copyrighted. The professionalism of the pictures uploaded makes me concerned they have also been taken from copyrighted websites, and I am not convinced you took them yourself. Unless you give an appropriate source for the images they will be deleted within 7 days. Uploading of copyrighted images is highly damaging to Wikipedia, and I would appreciate your cooperation here. Speedy deletion nomination of Kristina Fruk
editA tag has been placed on Kristina Fruk requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JohnCD (talk) 11:58, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
Image uploads
editI see you have uploaded more images without sourcing, as I said above sourcing is required for images and they will be deleted without them, and I am again not convinced you took these pictures yourself. Copyright is serious enough that if there are any more unsourced image uploads from this account, given the history I will assume they are copyright violations, and I will block you to prevent any more. Can I remind you that copyright violations not only damage Wikipedia they are also illegal, and contributors to Wikipedia do have a legal responsibility for their contributions. To avoid problems please comply with copyright policies by specifying the source of your uploads and releasing images under licences only when the copyright actually belongs to you. AfD Nomination: Net Country Song Contest
editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Net Country Song Contest meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.
Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Net Country Song Contest. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.
Discussions such as these usually last seven days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. JohnCD (talk) 16:19, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hi. I am sorry to nominate your article for deletion, because it is well presented and you have obviously worked hard on it, but you need to understand that Wikipedia has clear criteria for what subjects are suitable for articles, summed up in the term notability, which is best shown by significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. You can find out more from the links in the Welcome paragraph at the top of this page: Your First Article is a good one to read. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 16:27, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
Possibly unfree File:Rodeni sa greskom.jpg
editA file that you uploaded or altered, File:Rodeni sa greskom.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. --Polly (Parrot) 21:14, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Camaron · Christopher · talk 09:00, 14 July 2009 (UTC)I warned earlier that any further unsourced image uploads which appear to be copyright violations would result in a block, as copyright law is so serious. You appeared to have ignored this warning by uploading a further image inappropriately, I have hence now blocked this account to prevent any more. I have taken note that this account has been the source of constructive contributions, hence why I am putting an expiry on the block. The block will be lifted early however if a clear message from you is received on this talk page that you will comply with copyright and not upload any more images without a source, or with false licences. Note however that any further inappropriate uploads after the block is lifted or expires will result in a indefinite block. Camaron · Christopher · talk 09:00, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
The article List of the top ranking countries of the OGAE Second Chance Contest has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
