Image problems edit

Please stop uploading images for which you fail to add the appropriate needed details, or whose details you don't have. We take copyright status and sourcing very seriously and the images you uploaded don't have this information, so have been tagged for deletion. If you did not take the photos yourself and they are copyright to someone else, or you found them on a website, please don't upload them unless you have permission of the copyright holder. We also need to know the source website with a unique url for each or publication so we can check any copyright tag you add to an image. You may find it useful to read my image copyright information page. Good luck. ww2censor (talk) 21:28, 4 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to John Madison. —MelbourneStartalk 10:05, 5 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please DO NOT restore improperly licensed images once they are removed from an article; we can't have them in pages without proper licensing fir copyright concerns. Ww2censor gave a notice here that you really should listen to. Continuing with this could lead to you being blocked since copyright is a serious concern.   Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Cambridge cemetery.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Cambridge cemetery.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Image uploads edit

Hi Mouauia rafii, welcome to Wikipedia. I see you've been having some trouble with image uploads here on Wikipedia and over at Wikimedia Commons. Basically, the respective projects take copyright issues very seriously, and so only certainly kinds of images are permitted; there is an introduction to the relevant rules over at Wikipedia:Image use policy, but I'll give you a quick run-down. First, we allow freely licensed images; these are images which have been released under certain "free" licenses, and so they can be reused and modified, even for commercial purposes. If you are uploading your own work, you have to release it under one of these licenses. Public domain images are also acceptable, as there are no restrictions on these images. Most images you can find on the Internet do not fall into one of these two categories, and instead count as "non-free". Non-free images permitted to be used on Wikipedia only when their use meets the very strict non-free content guidelines. It may be best to stay away from uploading non-free content until you're familiar with when it is and is not acceptable.

Whenever you upload an image, you need to include a image copyright tag, as well as a clear explanation of where you found the image. If you don't do this, the image will end up being deleted, as the images you have uploaded so far will be. Please note that trying to force an image into an article without first ensuring that the image is appropriately licensed is considered disruptive, and repeatedly adding an image that has been removed may be considered edit warring; these are both very problematic. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me on my talk page. Josh Milburn (talk) 22:44, 5 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Yam (son of Noah) edit

Hello Mouauia rafii,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Yam (son of Noah) for deletion, because it appears to duplicate an existing Wikipedia article, Ham (son of Noah).

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Crystallizedcarbon (talk) 10:02, 8 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please discuss the edits you wish to make to articles on the article talk pages where you have been reverted multiple times. You are in danger of running afoul of the Wikipedia editing policy WP:3RR:

Editors who engage in edit warring are liable to be blocked from editing to prevent further disruption. While any edit warring may lead to sanctions, there is a bright-line rule called the three-revert rule (3RR), the violation of which often leads to a block.

The three-revert rule states:

A "page" means any page on Wikipedia, including talk and project space. A "revert" means any edit (or administrative action) that reverses the actions of other editors, in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material. A series of consecutive saved revert edits by one user with no intervening edits by another user counts as one revert.

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring, as you did at Tony Lupien. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Katietalk 21:50, 13 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Lawson Harris in 1932.jpg edit

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:01, 14 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
