Welcome edit

Every person is welcome to discuss things I will write, or to improve a few mistakes I could make in writing. Mona iu (talk) 13:32, 5 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Kuduro edit

This is about the article of the musical genre 'kuduro' I want to post in a more extensive format than it is currently. Kuduro is one of the biggest cultural export products of Angola and it had a 'golden age' from 2006 to 2011 I think, what will happen with kuduro now is a question, it needs new energy. I already collected a few sources. It could take some time before I will start writing something in my Word document. --Mona iu (talk) 15:03, 5 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Angola edit

I am going to focus on the article of Economy of Angola in 2013, that will already be a lot of work in the three languages of Portuguese, English and Dutch. I would like to find the people who are already having ideas about it, to be able to coordinate work with them. --Mona iu (talk) 17:50, 1 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Luanda edit

I want to work on a good article for Luanda in the future. --Mona iu (talk) 17:50, 1 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Grupo Opaia edit

What I had done was to add a maintenance template at the bottom of the article to put it in the categorization queue, via an automated software tool — however, since you brought it to my attention, I've now looked at the article in more depth and replaced the template with an appropriate category.

In terms of good article status, there's a process of review that takes place to evaluate whether an article qualifies or not. I haven't been too involved in that project, so I'm not particularly qualified to tell you whether it would pass or not, but what you can do is to review the WP:Good article criteria to see if there are any other potential improvements you can pick up from there — and then list it at WP:Good article nominations for a review. If and when you do that, don't take it personally if they reject it at first, because lots of articles don't make it to GA on their first try, but then do get promoted on a second or third nomination — and they'll give you useful advice and constructive guidance about what else you can do to improve it.

Hope that all helps a bit. Bearcat (talk) 15:55, 13 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:Microcenter oferece Casa Feliz a 40 mil dólares.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Microcenter oferece Casa Feliz a 40 mil dólares.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NtheP (talk) 20:29, 13 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Ok I saw it. I was quite busy with figuring out how to place pictures in an article so I took a break. I left it, being deleted, I could place some new pictures in the future. Mona iu (talk) 17:30, 1 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Contests edit

User:Dr. Blofeld has created Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/Contests. The idea is to run a series of contests/editathons focusing on each region of Africa. He has spoken to Wikimedia about it and $1000-1500 is possible for prize money. As someone who has previously expressed interest in African topics, would you be interested in contributing to one or assisting draw up core article/missing article lists? He says he's thinking of North Africa for an inaugural one in October. If interested please sign up in the participants section of the Contest page, thanks.♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:33, 21 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
