Proposed deletion of Hammersmith Regatta

I hope the page can be revived. There is very little historical record of the Hammersmith Regattas. But they were an important aspect of life of the community which has long since been forced away. The medal is dated July 1869. It is quite legible in full resolution. I had hoped that the kernel page would attract more donations and build a better historical record of the Regatta. Why the article was deleted

You said:

Acknowledging a source is a requirement, but it is not sufficient. The wording is too close tot he original. In rare cases,, wording can be identical to the original if proper written permission is granted, but that isn't likely to apply in this case.
