Speedy deletion nomination of Scream (Usher song)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Scream (Usher song) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Inappropriate song articles

edit

Please do not constantly create and recreate articles that violate our guidelines. WP:NSONGS indicates when it is appropriate to create an article, and Worth It All, Scream (Usher song), and I'm All Yours don't qualify for articles at this point. Worth It All has gone to AFD (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jay Sean's fourth studio album), and you've simply been edit warring it back into existence without any discussion or reasoning. I've protected the article to make that stop. I've processed the speedy for Scream. I'm leaving I'm All Yours for the moment, but will take it to AFD if I don't see anything happen to make it pass WP:NSONGS in a few days (i.e., a chart position somewhere in the world).

In general, this kind of behaviour eventually leads to a block. Please read and respect our guidelines for article creation. WP:CRYSTAL and WP:NSONGS are the major ones that you need to familiarize yourself with. We don't create articles because "we don't have enough news to write. The page will definitely be updated regularly as we get some news." We create them because there already is enough material to create an article.—Kww(talk) 10:19, 26 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:Jay Sean Sex 101.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Jay Sean Sex 101.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:09, 14 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
