I'm trying to add text to the Childhood section of the Elton John page. In the edit function all my text shows, but on the page it stops halfway through.

What do you mean, it stops halfway through? Only part of the text is saved?

{{helpme}} Pretty much. The section displays only part of the text, the remainder of the text I entered is visible under the edit page ut does not save to the article. Mjlej 17:39, 26 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Elton John is a large article, which causes problems with some browsers. See If you have problems editing a long article. – Tivedshambo (talk) 17:59, 26 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Watch your syntax (see multiple references). You forgot your closing back slashes on your re-used ref tags. Forgetting those causes all the text to disappear until the next ref with a backslash. See my edit for details. 70.62.40.253 17:56, 26 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image source problem with Image:Heather_locklear240.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Heather_locklear240.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 12:15, 8 October 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 12:15, 8 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

December 2008 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to Image:Union Ave Midtown Memphis.jpg, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. Thank you. License tagging for Image:Cooperyoungfestival.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Cooperyoungfestival.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:07, 11 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:MSCC greyhound logo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:MSCC greyhound logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:42, 17 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
