• well, not movies or TV sci-fi. I devoured stacks of Heinlein, Asimov, etc., in my youth. I felt slightly bad not to say more about the guy, but he really is a blank slate to me personally. As to the report, not wanting to see it die is what is keeping me around. I wonder if it could be more automated in any way. I can certainly understand how one might aim for a harmless joke and unintentionally end up with something sort of reactionary – I think it might be the result of the weird phenomenon where a lot of mainstream Internet culture is filtered down from 4chan and/or the more noxious parts of Reddit. (For what it's worth, I find that Know Your Meme is often very helpful in identifying the origins of these things.) Keep up the good work, on the Signpost and elsewhere. This is to inform you that an attempt is being made to overturn an RfC that you voted on (2 RfCs, actually, one less than six months ago and another a year ago). The new RfC is at:

Wikipedia:Village pump (policy)#RfC: Allow private schools to be characterized as non-affiliated as well as religious, in infobox?

Specifically, it asks that "religion = none" be allowed in the infobox.

The first RfC that this new RfC is trying to overturn is:

• 15 June 2015 RfC: RfC: Religion infobox entries for individuals that have no religion.

The result of that RfC was "unambiguously in favour of omitting the parameter altogether for 'none' " and despite the RfC title, additionally found that "There's no obvious reason why this would not apply to historical or fictional characters, institutions etc.", and that nonreligions listed in the religion entry should be removed when found "in any article".

The second RfC that this new RfC is trying to overturn is:

• 31 December 2015 RfC: RfC: Religion in infoboxes.

The result of that RfC was that the "in all Wikipedia articles, without exception, nonreligions should not be listed in the Religion= parameter of the infobox.".

Edwardian musical comedy

This was a song-and-dance musical theatre genre from 1892 (before Edward) to about 1925 (after Edward) in both England and America. Many Edwardian musicals premiered on Broadway. A Parisian Model has a very typical Edwardian musical comedy plot about an heiress who loses (but gets back) her lover due to a misunderstanding about the money. Identifying the genre (with the link) will help our readers place the show in context. Also, it seems fairly obvious, that the show was inspired by another Edwardian musical, An Artist's Model, which also took advantage of the provocative idea of nude models posing onstage behind easels to hide the nudity. • Hey, North America, here is a weird quirk/mystery to work out -- the GNIS has TWO eagleville, NV towns listed. The other is not far away from the first but slightly to the north in Churchill County. [1]. And some old sources refer to Churchill County. Here [2] is a 1910 topo map (excerpted on Rawhide, Nevada) which shows Eagleville due east of Rawhide, where we think it should be -- in what was then Esmeralda County, Nevada before Mineral County was created in 1911. That 1910 map doesn't show another eagleville north of Rawhide, though the 1919 Nevada state highway map shows it there! [3]. My guess - so far- is that there is only one Eagleville but the location was not always tracked exactly -- the county lines on the 1919 highway map are not as precise as they should be.--Milowent • ^hasspoken 19:48, 26 September 2017 (UTC)
