Thank you.

The article Yoogi's Closet has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 20:13, 19 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Milesr3. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Sam-2727 (talk) 02:22, 16 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have an undisclosed financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:

  • Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future. MER-C 13:21, 16 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello, @MER-C:. I have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements. Can you please provide the information indicating that I had a Conflict of Interest? Thank you. Milesr3 (talk) 22:23, 16 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Milesr3, if you use the "unblock template" as instructed above, your request will be formally reviewed. Sam-2727 (talk) 00:02, 17 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Sam-2727, according to the guide to appealing blocks, I may not ask questions in my unblock request; however, prior to submitting the request, I may ask the administrator who created the block clarifying questions about their action. This is why I asked my clarifying question prior to submitting the unblock request. Milesr3 (talk) 07:21, 17 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
It is counterproductive for me to tell you how I found you. MER-C 08:46, 17 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
@MER-C: I do not understand. How is it counterproductive for you to reinforce your assertion of a COI? Without supporting information, isn't it an unsubstantiated claim? Milesr3 (talk) 09:17, 17 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
I am not going to teach you how to evade scrutiny in the future. I am willing to supply information to the reviewing admin. MER-C 09:20, 17 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
