Disambiguation pages with links

Thank for helping out at WP:DPL. I moved Nickelodeon to the bottom of the list for you. It may be a little confusing editing the page to do that. You need to edit the transcluded dump file as a whole, or edit the "To do" list to delete and then edit the "Done" list to add it back. —  Randall Bart   Talk  05:53, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, I see the difference now. I wasn't 100% sure whether or not to move it from the "to do" section to the "done" section if there are still links that need to be DAB'ed (even if they are simply on other DAB pages or user-talk-pages.) --MikeVitale 14:10, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

*toe*

Hello there Mike! I was just on ArielGold's talkpage and I saw you wanted to make a category show up as an internal link. How about this? Category:Wikipedians who spend a lot of time on ArielGold's talkpage. Just add a colon before category, use the double brackets as normal, and it should work fine. Hope this helps with your formatting question! :) ~Eliz81(C) 06:29, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

eep, I've moved the comment to its proper place. Unfortunately, using the '+' button seems to automatically put new comments below the lovely talk page formatting. I wonder if there's a way to fix that... ~Eliz81(C) 06:32, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Thanks a ton for pointing out how to link to Categories! I've seen that before, but it's one of those things that you won't remember unless you use it often! I'm sure I'll forget it again, so I'll just have to leave this comment here for a while! Woohoo! --MikeVitale 06:37, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
ROFL Eliz. I like that category! Hee hee. Yes, the colon works for templates, categories, and "special" pages (like Special:Contributions). Mike you have some stray characters here at the bottom, looks like you've closed too many tables, lol. And yeah, the + thing won't work the way you've set up the userpage, sadly. You'll need to use an open table instead, so all comments go inside it (see my talk page/archives for that code if you want). ArielGold 06:40, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Nope. I don't have too many characters, and I'm not closing too many tables. That's just how it needs to be (at least currently, unless I change things around in my Header/Footer pages) to close the tables that I've opened above... Check out User:MikeVitale/UserPageHeader, User:MikeVitale/UserPageSectionHeader, User:MikeVitale/UserPageSectionFooter, and User:MikeVitale/UserPageFooter. I can explain more tomorrow (well, later today) about how those all work together if you don't see it yourself. Right now, I have to get to bed. Only 4 hours of sleep ahead of me...Too much Wikipedia! --MikeVitale 06:44, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Wikipediholic. Welcome to the club partner! :P ~Eliz81(C) 06:49, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

New comment via +

Okay yeah, you'll need to go into your /UserPageHeader, and not close the two tables you have nested here for new comments to show up, and even then I'm not sure that will work. You may need to put the tables directly into the talk page, not via a transclusion. But, I have no doubt you'll figure it out! ArielGold 06:42, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Ummm yeah. Put the thing in the thing. What she said. :) ~Eliz81(C) 06:45, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Hrmm, I tested including the tables here instead of having the headers transcluded and it didn't work, so I'm thinking it has something to do with you transcluding the footer and stuff here, I'd bet that's somehow closing the tables. Did you try using a <div> instead? Honestly I can't recall ever seeing someone who has a border around their talk page, who used it via subst or transclusion, so it really may just be you have to have it in the page. And I'm seeing the stray |} characters again, (they don't show up if I edit the whole page, but do show up if I edit this bottom section) so something is off. Wish I knew half as much as you do lol. ArielGold 06:54, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Alrighty then. So in order to get it to do what I want, I need to basically leave off the table closing tags that I had in my UserPageSectionFooter and UserPageFooter...Which also means that I must leave off my standard footer stuff ("This is a Userpage" and "My sha512 committed identity is...") Oh well. At least you can use the + to add comments now. Thanks for the help, gals.  :) --MikeVitale 12:44, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking, and really, as long as you have those items on your userpage, I don't think they're needed on both. Plus, I would be willing to bet more than one shekel, that people would not read the "Please put comments above this line" and you'd be moving comments up quite often, lol.   (Plus, and don't be insulted, but it looks much better without the footer stuff, lol) ~* Hugs *~ ArielGold 17:11, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Five shekels over here! It does look quite spiffy Mike, '+'-compatible to boot! :) ~Eliz81(C) 00:19, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
What's the current shekel-to-ruble conversion rate? --MikeVitale 01:27, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
I think it is about 1 bar of latinum. ArielGold 02:10, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Good Morning Mike!

Just thought I'd drop by and say hello, and see how you were, haven't talked to you in a bit so just wanted to say hi! ArielGold 12:26, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Hey there, Ariel. I've been busy around here. Edit-warring with an IP address adding non-verifiable and unencyclopedic content to the Naperville page over the last couple of days. This should be fun to resolve. Anyway, I've been spending way too much time on WP. It's an illness, I tell ya! How's things for you? Keeping busy with that astronautical hygiene article?  :-D --MikeVitale 13:29, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Hey, how do you undo 2 edits in one go? Take a look at the Bentonville High School history. The last 2 revisions should be reverted, probably as vandalism. At the very least, it's unsupported (and not very noteworthy, at that), even if the person mentioned is homosexual. I could revert the two edits each separately, but I'd like to learn how to do both at once, if possible. I have installed Lupin's Anti-Vandal tool, but nothing else, if that helps. --MikeVitale 18:05, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Done. I just hit "rollback" and when it asks if I want to remove both of the IPs edits, I choose yes. Or you can just "restore" the last "good" version, as well, by comparing two revisions, then choosing the one on the left as the "good" one, to restore to. Per WP:BLP statements like that, even though perhaps not derogatory, should be cited properly and sourced with WP:RS. Hope that helps! (And yeah, my sleeping schedule is turned around again, lol) ArielGold 23:51, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Burntech solutions

Well, I see it as blatant advertising, and I'd probably report the name as promotional, but I'm feeling less than confident in my decision making today, so I've asked an Administrator to look into it. ArielGold 13:06, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Replied to this on my talk, but if you add {{t1|db-spam}}, you can display a template like this: {{db-spam}} so it is a clicky-wiki-link. Sometimes it requires tl, not t1(number one) and sometimes tlu (user) but nearly all templates can be clicky-wiki-linked doing that. Cool, huh? ArielGold 13:10, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
How very interesting. I'll have to keep that in mind. Too bad I'll probably forget it before the next time I need to do such a thing. BTW, when are you going to submit your RfA?  ;-) (I just figured I'd jump on the bandwagon...) --MikeVitale 13:21, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
I truly doubt you'll forget, lol. You're a programmer! You remember all sorts of weirdo character things that you "read" as making sense, if I can remember the t1 thing, you can! lol.   ArielGold 13:23, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Illinois Project

I just wanted to say welcome to the Illinois Project. We are looking for more people to be active in the project, and glad to see you expressed an interest. Is there something in Illinois that you would like to work on, or is your specialty? Would you rather just stay in Naperville, working on that article, or is there a part of the state that you would like to do more of? Would you like to take pictures of places in your area? I will assist you in what I can, if you want me to help you layout Naperville to try and raise that to a GA article, let me know. Welcome!--Kranar drogin 22:47, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the welcome. I am most familiar with Naperville, as it is the only place I've lived in the state since I moved here out of college in 1997. I spent some time on the Npvl Central HS page today, and also made minor edits to the Naperville page.
I'm also a bicyclist, and have experience on some of the roads and trails in the (large) area between Quad Cities and Chicago. I might get into articles on those, as well as camping parks in the northern part of the state (I've stayed in Mississippi Palisades, Apple River Canyon, Lake Le-Aqua-Na, Chain-O-Lakes, and Starved Rock...)
Additionally, I'm an organizationalist by nature (but don't tell my wife, because she wouldn't believe you!) I'd be interested in perhaps creating or improving some kind of standard infobox to be used on all municipality/school/whatever pages inside the WP:Illinois project.
So...Whatcha got for me?  :) --MikeVitale 00:38, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Oops, I forgot to mention that I have a digital camera, and a means of travel. I'm not afraid to use my camera, but I telecommute, so I don't get a chance to get out much... --MikeVitale 00:40, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Well, I will set up the Naperville page with the sections that need to be filled, and you can go through and start writing it up if you want. I will help as much as possible. You may need to go to the library and get a few books on the history, or whatnot only if we can't find enough on the internet. We prolly should though, so that shouldn't be a problem. I feel that some of the pics that are up on the page right now really aren't all that great. Pretty much anything you can think of will need a picture. Schools, the main fire/police station, city hall, courthouse if they have one?, parks, etc. The place you should upload all pictures too is to the Commons. So if you don't have an account there, you should create one (prolly under the same name), and start populating Category:Naperville, Illinois in Commons. Also, anytime you put something in an article, cite your work. If you don't know what we are going to be shooting for, see Springfield, Illinois. That is a Illinois GA, and that is what I would like to get the major Illinois cities to. If you have more questions, let me know.--Kranar drogin 01:08, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
I am thinking of changing the infobox to the one that Springfield uses and most other cities we are now using the geobox. What do you think, got a problem with me changing it?--Kranar drogin 02:11, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Nope, I have no problem with that. I'm not all that fond of the infobox that Naperville uses anyway. Too much information that's subject to too much change, and it's rather inflexible. I'll work on converting to the new infobox today. --MikeVitale 12:21, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Task complete. --MikeVitale 15:22, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Mike, we are going to need some pictures of the two historical sites in Naperville. They are the Naperville Historic District and Pine Craig. I don't know where they are, or in the case of the Historic District how many buildings are in it. For the Historic Distric, check out Oregon Commercial Historic District to get an idea how it might be written up. Then you can add those two things to the tourism section if they aren't already with citations. Any questions, let me know.--Kranar drogin 10:40, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Hmmm. The Naperville Historic Distict is a large area just south of downtown Naperville containing what is known today as the "Naper Settlement" and many other buildings. Supposedly, it's a place like Williamsburg, Virginia (though probably not as kitschy) where you can go to "see what life was like back then." My kids have been there on school trips, but I've not been there yet...I should plan a trip there sometime (it's only about 4 miles from my house), but it might not be until next year (I'd prefer pictures that don't contain snow and bare trees...And my schedule's a bit full to realistically get out there this year.)
I've got a rough idea of where Pine Craig is, but to be honest, I've never heard of it until looking up the list on the National Register of Historic Places web site. --MikeVitale 12:45, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Adoption

I'll adopt you Mike!   Okay, so I'm not officially in the adoption program, but I'm always around if you need any help, as long as it isn't programming stuff! lol. ArielGold 18:45, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Okay, I'm not always around, I do sleep occasionally, lol. Like now. I'm about to head off to bed. Night night Mike!   ArielGold 18:46, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Alright, I accept. Now what?  ;-) --MikeVitale 04:44, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
LOL Um. Well, I guess you just feel free to bug me all you want about anything you have questions about. I'll look into the adoption page to see if there is some sort of "program of study" thing, lol. Seems funny, but I'm more than willing to help you with anything, or at least point you where to get help. ArielGold 04:46, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Discussion area

I created this page out of respect for others you may communicate with, because you know how verbose I can get, lol. This way, all our discussions regarding anything will be in one centralized area, and we can both use the subpage to post links to items or articles with issues or questions. Sound like a good idea? ArielGold 06:23, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Archiving

Mike, I edited your MiszaBot script to change the format of your archives. Currently, the {{atn}} template doesn't work unless you have your archives in /Archive 1 ; /Archive 2, etc., so if you want to use the month format, you either can't use {{atn}} or you can do what I do and add an archive box with the month information listed inside it. Feel free to revert it, but then remove the line: |archiveheader = {{atn}} if you want the archives named by month. Hope you don't mind! Also, so you know, MiszaBot runs once a day, around 8:30am it starts, so probably gets to you around 9:30 am or so (Eastern time). I also added parameters to limit the size, so it doesn't infinitely fill up archives, and the counter to tell the bot what number to start with. The bot will update the counter when the archive reaches 100k, which is a pretty long page, but not overly long to be difficult to load. ArielGold 13:08, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Hmmm. OK, so {{atn}} doesn't work unless you do Archive 1, Archive 2. But, bleh. You never know when the last comment in a thread was. I prefer datestamp-based archives. I do the same for digital photos when I initially take them off my camera. Hope I've gotten the archiving thing correct. I guess I'll have to manually go make my own archive header. No big deal there. Thanks! --MikeVitale 13:25, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Well, Miszabot archives by date of last thread, so they're still in order of date. I prefer it that way, but that is just me. I checked your code and you've got it right, no surprise there, lol. It will add a header automatically, you don't have to make one, it is just really ugly, lol. (IMO). So, check the other talk page, I'll put something up there for your perusal. ArielGold 13:27, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Yes, they're still in order of date, but I'm notoriously bad at remembering where something is stored in a numbered archive. I'm better with dates. At work, we have sequentially numbered SQL scripts for database schema changes. I can never remember whether Change X was applied in SQL script #40 or #60. At least there, I have grep to allow me to quickly search for things (I run the Linux operating system). Here, I don't have that, and I'm not so impressed with the results provided by the WP Search box. So date-based archiving it is.  :) --MikeVitale 13:33, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
No worries, whatever works for you! The reason I did it with {{atn}} is it is a prettier archive header, lol.   Hey, did you go into your preferences, and set your search preferences to search in other areas, not just mainspace? You can set it to search template, categories, user pages, etc., if you want to. (If you have not already). ArielGold 13:48, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Hey I'm going to take a nap, let me know on our talk page if you find anything fun today! ArielGold 14:25, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Doh!

Thanks for catching that typo, dear! I'm off to bed, but if you think of anything, feel free to visit our talk page, and I posted some linky/helpful stuff on the main page of it as well! ArielGold 19:15, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Yep, I saw all that stuff. As I said, my honey-do list is long this weekend. Matter of fact, I'm leaving to go mow the lawn here in just a couple minutes. The wife was just by bugging me without really telling me to get my @$$ up off the computer.... --MikeVitale 19:22, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Ohhh I must have missed that ~*Runs off to check*~ I swear I checked the page when I woke up! lol. Have a great weekend! ArielGold 19:23, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Heh. I said I *saw* it. I didn't say I responded to it.  ;-) --MikeVitale 19:24, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

"Lesson"!

Okay, you don't have to do it if you don't want to, but I thought this might be fun. I posted a "lesson" at our page, about the AfD process. I thought it might be fun to do. If you hate the idea feel free to tell me lol. ArielGold 16:00, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Will have to look at this when I get back this afternoon. I'm heading out the door to go to a meeting. Expect to be back sometime after lunchtime. Thanks! --MikeVitale 16:15, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Oh, anything I post don't think there is any rush, I don't expect anyone to rush over there, lol. I just did it for a bit of fun, and perhaps to help Shir-El out. You don't even need to read it if you don't want to, you know how verbose I am lol. ArielGold 16:20, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
I'm just amazed at your thought process there. lol. I honestly would never have thought to do what you did, to validate your comment and opinion, and I'm positive that's going to be one of the main reasons looked at when an administrator closes this. Way to go, lol. You rocked that one, and I liked how you took the time to look into the image issues as well, also showed that you weren't just "going along with the crowd". Do I get to grade these?   A+++ !! hee hee. Just kidding, but I'm still really impressed. ArielGold 10:15, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
P.S. For reference, the way the editor knew it was from another page, was he clicked on the image, and then clicked on "File links" at the top, Image:Starr_040723_0030_verbascum_thapsus.jpg#filelinks, which shows all pages that currently link to that image. Thus, it is obvious from the dates of article creation, which came first, and where the image originated from. Easier than digging through source code. (If you already knew this, just ignore it, lol) ArielGold 10:18, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Interesting. Knowing more ways to get things done is never a bad thing!  :) Thanks! --MikeVitale 12:41, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Replied to your request! ArielGold 22:37, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Delta Sigma Pi NPOV disussion

Yeah, I reread the changes, I can see what you mean. I think I'll put back some of it, though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.87.62.131 (talk) 19:37, 20 September 2007 (UTC) Facts that don't seem opinionated, I mean--71.87.62.131 19:46, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Some of the changes sounded ok, if they were taken by themselves. However, the general content and tone of the changes made it sound like you are either a Brother of Alpha Kappa Psi, or are otherwise related to that fraternity. I could be way off base there, and I freely admit that I am a member of Delta Sigma Pi. I do not want this to turn into an edit war. I don't claim "ownership" of the Delta Sigma Pi page in the least; I'm merely the most recent maintainer. However, if you do edit the page, please cite sources for the changes you make. Facts are what is important, not POV slants -- and I hold myself to that same standard. --MikeVitale 19:49, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
I am still having a hard time viewing some of your edits as neutral. "An imitation fraternity" in place of "another fraternity"? You do not cite any reference for the entire paragraph you added regarding Delta Sigma Phi. In fact, this your assertion regarding the name of Delta Sigma Phi is contradicted by the latest edition of The Deltasig magazine (http://www.dspnet.org/site/articles/Centennial_July07Issue.pdf, page 7). There is also no mention of same at Delta Sigma Phi. Page 6 of the same PDF file linked above also provides a reference for the "At this time, Makay, Tienken, Jacobs, and Moysello decided that there was a need for two fraternities in the school" text you largely altered. Given that Alpha Kappa Psi is now mentioned three times in the first two main paragraphs of this article as-is, I maintain the strong feeling that you are associated with that organization. Please respond, else I will revert your changes as NPOV again. --MikeVitale 20:39, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Happy Weekend!

Hello m'dear, just so you know, I did reply to you on our talk page. Also, I'm so happy to see you're taking part in some AfDs! I think that's awesome! And of course, I hope you have a wonderful weekend, without too many honeydoos to wear you out! ArielGold 23:10, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks! You have yourself a great weekend as well! I'm not sure yet how long my honey-do list is going to be this weekend. I *should* go out and trim my hedges this weekend, since next week is free brush pickup for my section of town. Not sure I will, though, because I don't wanna!
Also, I saw your reply. Thanks for the information, to be sure. I haven't heard anything from the anon user, so come Monday, I'll go revert it again. --MikeVitale 23:19, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

Template

Okay m'dear, I've got a line on someone who may be able to help with the template, as we both know I'm completely not the person to answer your questions, lol. I'm going to move those questions over to the template's talk page, so they're visible there, if that's okay. ArielGold 21:34, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Works for me. Thanks! --MikeVitale 21:36, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, sorry if you thought I was going to get someone to "fix" it, lol. This is your project, and I think you'll be awesome at it, but I just can't answer those questions you had, so they'd be best posted on your template talk page, and hopefully we can find someone who has those answers! ArielGold 21:45, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Great, thanks! --MikeVitale 21:48, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Okay I heard back from Jimp, and our time zones are different, he's in Australia, hee hee. He doesn't have time to look at it right now, but he did say that he could take a look later (which is probably your tomorrow, lol). I pointed him to your questions, and honestly he's created tons of templates, and fixed a whole ton of other ones, so I'm sure he can answer your questions that I just can't, to help you figure all this out, because he's done so for many others. And, he's quite familiar with the {{convert}} template as well, which is another reason I asked him. Anyway, expect to hear from him at some point, hope that's okay! ArielGold 21:54, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
(Whoops wrong talk page, lol. Too many tabs open!) I wouldn't go the {{helpme}} route, I'd probably start at WP:VPT and go from there, that's quite active and a ton of really really smart folks monitor it, so you could always just ask the questions there. There's also Category:User_template_coder, (which you'd want to look for someone in Category:User template coder-c) if you wanted to go through and see who is active at the time you need help. Either one would probably get you the same results, if VPT can't answer, they'd probably be able to point someone who could to the thread. ArielGold 21:59, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

I see Jimp answered some questions, I must admit, all of that is like a foreign language to me, lol. Does it make sense to you and answer some of the questions? I notice you're re-doing the template, so I'm guessing that you're getting the hang of this Wiki-script stuff, lol. Is it "fun"? I guess I'm not sure if the programmer's thought process is that if something doesn't work, instead of frustration (like I feel, lol) it is a fun challenge to figure out "why" it doesn't work, and fix it, lol. Anyway, I hope that is the case here, and if it isn't fun, hey, don't do it! hee hee. ArielGold 15:49, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I saw Jimp's answers. They were helpful, to be sure. I plan on following up with him on the template talk page once I've completed the latest round of changes. I just now found a bug that I need to go fix...
Anyway, his answers mostly did make complete sense to me, even if they were Γρεεκ to you...There are a couple of frustrating things about the template creation process, as I'm finding out.
First, all code inside the templates must be "scrunched up" so that there are no spaces except those that you absolutely intend to be there. So you can't indent lines like you would in normal code (such as the Java (programming language) that I normally use). This makes reading, understanding, and editing templates rather hard. This also means that, if you're editing the template in another program like a text editor (such as I am), and you're trying to keep it sane-looking and nicely-indented so you can understand the code you're writing, it takes a while to try out a change you made in your text editor, because you need to remove all the spaces before it'll work on the Wiki.
Second, all those ratzen-frickin' braces all over the place are absolutely maddening. In Java, the { character means "start a new block". Similarly, the } character means "end a block". In Wiki-code, they have somewhat-similar meanings, of course, but they always come in twos and threes. So you might end up with 10 }'s right next to each other. Figuring out which closing brace goes with which opening brace would be nigh impossible if my text editor didn't automatically highlight the matching bracket.
Hope that helps give you a better understanding of this stuff, at a very high level. I'm not overly frustrated. I'm intrigued...And I'll finish this template to be sure, but I'm not sure that it's something I'll get into long-term, simply because it's so unnatural for me. --MikeVitale 16:02, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, with my very limited work I've done making my own, I've noticed the spacing issue. For example, when I have an "article" parameter, that can be used, or left out, sometimes I get odd spaces between punctuation marks, where the parameter text would be located, but if it is left out, it results in that extra space. I think I've fixed most of those, but perhaps not all. Well, the one I know I haven't fixed, is my copyright notice. I can add a URL but only if it is a standard .htm or .html extension at the end, anything like .asp or .php won't work, and that frustrates me a lot. I can only imagine what a headache that would be with the more complicated ones, the simple ones I've done are foreign enough to me, and honestly it is just me fiddling around with things that gets them to work, lol. (And I've got absolutely no knowledge of any code, at all, aside from the most basic of HTML tags, lol) And yes, those brackets drive me nuts, I'm not sure how that came to be, but they are certainly the thing that confuses me the most, lol. I'm glad that you're at least not hating this, and if it isn't something you want to get into, hey that's fine too. I mean, you do this for your job, so it is fully understandable if you don't want to have to deal with the same kinds of things here. I just suggested it, because as a project, it seemed to be up your alley, as well as give you some insight into some of the inner-workings of Wikipedia that might come in handy. We can certainly look into something else to do if this doesn't float your boat, lol. ArielGold 17:12, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Is it supposed to do this?

Vehicle_Assembly_Building#Size, look at the cubic meters, it is a link, that goes to 1 E+6 m³. I'm not sure that's right, at least I don't think it should be linking to that, I'd rather see it linked to Cubic meter. ArielGold 00:28, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Okay, another thing, once I put it in, it doesn't seem to be transcluding, but subst'ing, the resulting text when I go into edit it, is encloses {{ft3 to m3|129428000|abbr=no|spell=Commonwealth|precision=2|wiki=yes}} ([[1 E+6 m³|3,664,883 m³]]) of space.. That last part I don't think should be there, it isn't there with any of the other templages. (Feel free to ignore me if I'm just ignorant about it, but just have never seen that before.) Well, I'm not sure what you were looking at, but it looked to me like the {{ft3 to m3}} template worked just fine, and that the (3,664,883 m³) link was there in text previously. Take a look at this old revision from August 15, and you'll see it's there as well. I removed that, and everything looks ok now. --MikeVitale 00:47, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
That's just hand written though, that's not using a template. Do you see the link to this 1 E+6 thing I'm talking about? Why is that there, and is it really needed? It was not there in the version prior to my addition of your template, and don't ask me why it was there before that, lol. I don't know what the heck that page is or what it is supposed to show, but I'd rather see the link go to Cubic meter, personally. Very odd. ArielGold 00:54, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
Okay ignore me... I just looked again and that's just my not seeing that and removing it when I put in the template. Doh, lol ArielGold 00:56, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
