Request reason:

Hey Bob I thought You said I had to stay away from categories for a month? I did that?Michaelt54 (talk) 12:35 pm, Today (UTC+0)

Decline reason:

You were unblocked with the specific condition that you would not add or remove categories. No "one month" time limit was stipulated. You agreed to this. Today, all of your edits have involved adding categories to articles. What did you think was going to happen? Yunshui  13:06, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I didn't Know that I Have been away for over a month I said I would no longer edit war and I haven't been causing troubleMichaelt54 (talk) 13:17, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

And even if this restriction were were month long, you accepted it just two weeks ago. Max Semenik (talk) 13:17, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

I told bob I would stay away from categories for a couple of Months when I wrote to him because I am busy with school and work. I didn't know that meant forever I am sorry I did't mean to break the rules again I swear.Michaelt54 (talk) 13:22, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

I haven't beem edit warring and I have been following the rules?Michaelt54 (talk) 13:24, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

When you accept a condition, it becomes part of the rules. As such, you broke the rules. See WP:OFFER - editors who "retire" in a huff usually will never be successful in being permitted to return, so you might want to rethink that. Be also aware that until this account becomes unblocked, you as a person my never edit Wikipedia - you may not create another account nor edit anonymously, or else it's considered evasion of a valid block (✉→BWilkins←✎) 13:31, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

ok I willl stay away. Is this account blocked forever?Michaelt54 (talk) 13:35, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

And what if when the block is over I want another chance to edit categories? like I told bob I will no longer edit war.Michaelt54 (talk) 13:37, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Your account will stay blocked until you can find a way to convince the community here that you will no longer continue the behaviour for which you were blocked. Since the last time you agreed to a set of unblock conditions you broke them with every subsequent edit to article space that you made, the chances of your regaining the community's trust are, I would say, very slim. Should you ever regain that trust and be unblocked, you will have to demonstrate an acceptable understanding of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines - and get approval from the community - before being allowed to make categorisation edits again. The behaviour that got me blocked was edit warring on categories and I haven't been. I read the guidlines and it said don't rivert more than three times which i haven't been. I didn't mean to be malicious.Michaelt54 (talk) 13:47, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

The behaviour that got you blocked was the direct and persistent contravention of your unblock conditions. Yunshui  13:48, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

I misunderstood the block conditions. I didn't know I couldn't edit catetegories forever because I told bob I would stay away from categories and from wikipedia for a couple of months. I am working and going to school.Michaelt54 (talk) 13:55, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

I read the [[WP:OFFER] so after six months i can ask to return?Michaelt54 (talk) 14:08, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Assuming that you don't edit under another account in the interim, and that you agree to avoid edit warring (particularly over categories), then an unblock request in six months would probably be looked on favourably, yes. Yunshui  14:25, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Ok, I don't have any other accounts this is my only one. I haven't been edit warring I read Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.Michaelt54 (talk) 14:38, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Here is the original deal, which was "(1) you will not add or remove categories from articles, (2) you will not edit- war, and (3) you will listen and collaborate with other editors in a civil manner." If playing next to a stove inevitably leads to burning yourself on the stove, don't even play in the kitchen. You have to pay attention to these sort of things, because if you don't pay attention to what affects you, it doesn't become easier for people to think you're paying attention to the policies. Ian.thomson (talk) 15:01, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Like I said before I misunderstood the Orginal deal. I didn't know I was barred from editing categories forever. I should have asked for clarification first because I made a mistake and I violated the deal unintentionally and I know that makes me look bad.Michaelt54 (talk) 15:09, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

My words was "I will Probably stay away from categories for awhile" I didn't know that meant forever. But it's a dead issue now. I will stay away.Michaelt54 (talk) 15:23, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Your block appeal to the Arbitration Committee edit

We have carefully considered your block appeal, but our decision is to honour the community's original decision and to decline your appeal. I recommend that you read the terms of the standard offer extended to you (above), and that you comply with those terms.
