Smeagain

Hello. This user is requesting unblock. Your block makes the claim of sockpuppetry, but doesn't give any details. Also you left no details on the user's talkpage about the block. I'd like to evaluate this users request so I am requesting some further information from us as the blocking admin... Who is the "puppetmaster" and is there a list of other socks? Is there a RFCU filed? What evidence did you base your block on? Please respond on my talkpage. Thanks a bunch, ---J.S (T/C/WRE) 14:17, 22 June 2007 (UTC) P.S. - Please make it a habit of leaving details on talk-pages when you block... especially when the reason isn't obvious in the user's contributions ---J.S (T/C/WRE) 14:17, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

(reply copied to both talk pages) Hey J.S, I blocked Smeagain for sockpuppetry, but omitted the details at the time. If you take a peek at the user creation log[1], you can see that Smeagain made the attack account Louiilouii, which was used for 4 edits.[2][3][4][5], none of which are at all welcome. From what I can gather, he is also the owner of the account Boyleharry(blocked by Rebecca), and possibly others. I hope this helps. --Michael Billington (talk) 04:15, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for clearing this up for me. ---J.S (T/C/WRE) 17:13, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

User:Haggawaga - Oegawagga

Has this editor currently engaged in any bad faith disruptive behavior warranting an indef block? -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 17:39, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

I was advised by a CheckUser (Dmcdevit) that Haggawaga - Oegawagga is a sockpuppet of Mrlob. If this is anything to go by, Mrlob is also the same person as Kermanshahi, User:Ayatollah Rhobijnie, Kashwialariski. Cheers. --Michael Billington (talk) 04:26, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

Oh no, here we go again, I am not Mrlob or any of his sockpuppets. Please leave me out of this, I don't want to have anything to do with this or with them, I made a mistake that I admit: I built up connections with all these trouble makers but if you'd not involve me with them you see I almost did nothing wrong. I just wan't to edit wikipedia and I (try to) do it seriously, if you would look at my recent edits you'd see I have the whole time been bussy creating and expanding artickles and I wish to keep on doing so. All Haggawaga - Oegawagga's edits are completeley based on unsourced statements, I just wish to be left out of this. Dmcdevit said: :Sorry, as was brought up to me, I was not clear enough here. The same pattern as noted below holds here: it is possible that Mrlob = Kermanshahi, but not confirmed by CheckUser The Honorable Kermanshahi 07:58, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

Noted, and thanks for clearing that up. It still stands that Haggawaga - Oegawagga is a sock of Mrlob however. --Michael Billington (talk) 09:11, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

By the way, Michael, from one Aussie administrator to another and with (or perhaps without) all due respect, you and your Hawaiian vandal buddy are SICK BASTARDS!! Last night I went out for dinner and to see Ocean's 13, with a friend, also called Michael, who also shares with you a major personality flaw of supporting the Colliwobbles. Anyway, I asked my folks if my beloved Hawks had won, but they said they hadn't heard any news about the game. So when I got home, I immediately jumped online to check Google News, but WP being my home page, came up first with the orange messages bar. And so, most regrettably, I clicked on it and was walloped in the face by you and your crony's wretched Magpie banners! And I said, "well, I guess that answers that question!" and was then put through over an hour of suffering and cruel and unusual punishment for my beloved Hawks supposed loss. Over an hour later, I came back to Wikipedia and actually read the "small print" of your twisted and despicable messages and I realised that in fact my mighty Hawks remain MIGHTY Hawks and that the Colliwobbles colliwobbled and fizzled out as they often do. Revenge, my friend, will be sweet. Sarah 01:53, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

*falls off his chair laughing* :P --Michael Billington (talk) 02:02, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
LMAO. That was the very first warning of any sort that I've ever had on Wikipedia! And I feel very proud that I managed to jump straight for the top and got a level four block warning! Woohoo!! What an outstanding achievement! LOL. Anyway, I'm glad to see that you found such humour in hearing of the pain suffering I was forced to endure because of you and your Hawaiian vandal friend. But seriously, watch out cos when you least expect it there will be payback!! The absolute ultimate payback would be a Hawthorn v Colliewobble Grand Final with the wobbly ones being obliterated off the field! lol. :) Have a good week, Mike (and good luck for your next game, I'm sure you'll need it). :D Sarah 12:40, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
Out of everything you've said here, I can only say that I agree with one bit of it. "Revenge, my friend, will be sweet". --Michael Billington (talk) 12:52, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
PS: The next game will be a great percentage-booster for the pies, and luck will have nothing to do with it :)

Possible proxies

If you have a second, would you mind checking out these IPs for me?

Based on these IP's edits to Commons it would appear that they are proxies being used by SpamBots - I've blocked them over there [6], but I wanted someone with more technical knowledge to look into them before I took action elsewhere. As you seem to be active on WP:OP I was hoping you could help. Cheer, WjBscribe 17:06, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Sure, I'll check those out in a few hours. --Michael Billington (talk) 00:57, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Oops, sorry for taking so long to get back to you. All of the IPs have a long history of spamming, but portscans don't turn up anything. It it possible that they are either zombies running spambot scripts (but not accepting external connections), or simply abusive hosts (the first one at least is .ru).
I've blocked all 3 here as zombie computers. Cheers. --Michael Billington (talk) 03:18, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Please note that signposts may remain on a user page for no more than one week. Please remove November 12th's edition by 22:00 GMT. I'll check back then. If you have questions, NedScott should be able to answer them. Thanks for your cooperation and compliance! 69.143.236.33 (talk) 18:04, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, but I'm not aware of any such rule, and the word "signpost" doesn't even appear on Ned Scott's talk page. I'm quite happy to let copies of the signpost accumulate here for me to read later, and I can't see why there'd be any issue with that. --Michael Billington (talk) 10:46, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
