Hello Mhouse1. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Positiv, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Mhouse1. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Mhouse1|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Re:Positiv and TBN

All indications late last year and early this year in published sources and on TBN's own website were that TBN was launching Positiv, and owned it. But now neither the Positiv nor TBN websites list any connection. What happened, and are there reliable published sources about it? I've been unable to find anything at all on Google. Obviously there's still some connection, as Positiv airs on a TBN sub-channel. Was Positiv spun off? I can speculate that perhaps TBN was required to distance itself from Positiv as part of licensing agreements for the movie rights, but we certainly can't add that to the article without sources. - BilCat (talk) 03:46, 8 April 2020 (UTC)

You're absolutely correct. This is still owned by TBN, but what we're trying to do is disassociate mentions of TBN from the network. It's supposed to be its own entity. Mhouse1 (talk) 04:24, 8 April 2020 (UTC)

Given that JUCE still exists as a YouTube channel, I've moved it back to JUCE TV, and created a new Positiv article without the JUCE TV history. It probably should have been done that way to begin with, but hindsight is 20/20. We do have to mention that TBN is the owner, as that information is already public. If you have any other suggestions, you can post them here, or at Talk:Positiv, but you can't make any edits to the article itself as you work for the company. I, or another user, will do our best to implement your further suggestions, as long as they are in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - BilCat (talk) 05:03, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
