Welcome to Wikipedia. Please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not include unsupported or inaccurate statements. Whenever you add possibly controversial statements about a living person to an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did to Andy Samberg, you must include proper sources. If you don't know how to cite a source, you may want to read Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners for guidelines. Thank you. -- Luke (Talk) 02:31, 29 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Pawn Stars

edit

Hi. Please do not add material whose only function is to promote other websites, as you did with this edit to Pawn Stars, as Wikipedia is not a platform to promote other websites. External links to other websites should only be used in the article body if they are formatted as inline citations to support material in accordance with this site's Verifiability Policy. The link you added was not used to support any particular information, and sites with user-generated content, including other wikis, cannot be used as sources under Wikipedia:USERG. It is particularly specious to direct readers from this wiki to another one for "more information", when readers can simply scroll down and read the rest of the Wikipedia article, which has considerably more detail and sourcing on every aspect of Pawn Stars than that other wiki seems to have anyway. Speedy deletion nomination of Chance Marsteller

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Chance Marsteller requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. BusterD (talk) 00:57, 6 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:Jimmy Gulibon.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Jimmy Gulibon.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:32, 9 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve HOLLENS (HD)

edit

Hi, I'm Dom497. Mhcomix, thanks for creating HOLLENS (HD)!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Thank-you for creating this article. Please add references and categories to the article to meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and to make it easier for readers to find this article.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Your edits

edit

Hello, Mhcomix. A word of friendly advice. Please be careful not to introduce factual errors into articles. Edits like this one are really inexcusable; the birthdate someone like that is easily verifiable, and it damages the credibility of Wikipedia when we get it wrong. The editor who reverted your edit there didn't notify you, but I'm asking you now: do you have an explanation for it or were you just vandalizing? I see from your contribution history that you make lots of constructive edits, but I also see you've been warned repeatedly in the past about inappropriate edits. Please understand that all the good edits in the world don't make up for even one very bad edit made intentionally. Rivertorch (talk) 23:00, 7 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
