 Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 18:32, 18 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Sahiba Sirdil moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Sahiba Sirdil. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. — Saqib (talk I contribs) 18:26, 24 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your assistance. May I know how many sources are required for an article to establish notability as I am working on researching various links in the football community in Pakistan ; regards. Mhasan95 (talk) 06:12, 2 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi there, I just had a look at your contributions and I appreciate your efforts as unfortunately there is a lack of editors covering Pakistani football. I had in mind creating a page for this player but he doesn't meet the criteria to be deemed notable here, as he hasn't played in a "fully professional league" (which the Pakistan Premier League isn't), or have at least an international cap. The Socca World Cup where he participated is not a competition under FIFA and the team wasn't the main 11-side Pakistan national football team. Have a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Notability or Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Notability of footballers for future reference.
Your articles are well-written and your contributions are helpful. Hopefully you stay here. Cheers and good editing. JayFT047 (talk) 19:36, 3 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your help. I'll keep this in mind when editing future articles. I have been working on another article as well, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Sahiba_Sirdil, which is in review at the moment, and I'd appreciate your assistance, if any, on that too. My aim is to help the football space in Pakistan grow, which is why I am writing these articles with sources that are deemed reliable ; regards. Mhasan95 (talk) 09:30, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Unreliable sources

edit

Hello, I noticed that you've been citing unreliable sources such as footballpakistan.com in some of the recent articles you've created. Please be aware that we strongly discourage using such sources. It would be great if you could avoid them in the future. Welcome to Wikipedia and happy editing!Saqib (talk I contribs) 13:59, 3 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for letting me know. I was under the impression that as FPDC is one of the most reliable sources for football in Pakistan, that it would suffice. I will keep this in mind when editing articles and avoid the use of such sources. I would appreciate your help if there are any such errors that I may have overlooked during such edits ; regards.
