I am not familiar with talk pages in Wikipedia as I make very few edits; however, I firmly disagree with your removing the link from Relaxation Techniques because you think it is "inappropriate for an encyclopdia" and then sending me a spam warning! The entire purpose of any encyclopedia is to provide information to readers – the best, most accurate and understandable information for readers. And what is better, more accurate or more understandable than an actual example (whether it be quoted text, picture, audio or video) of the subject at hand. In this case, I was providing a link to an actual Relaxation Therapy protocol no different than the external link to Handel's "Sinfony" at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinfony. I'm fairly sure you do not consider the external link there to be spam for the Mutopia Project.

Having read the "no no" list for links, I would call your attention to the following: • the link leads to unique information not already available on the page or anywhere else in Wikipedia • the information at the link is provided by an expert in the field • no malware, trojans, etc are connected with the link • PLEASE REREAD THE LINKED PAGE IN QUESTION: this page does not promote the website or the website owner • instead, it provides a free, useable and clearly understandable example of a relaxation technique that cannot be fully comprehended by mere descriptive text • there is absolutely no commercial mention of anything on this page • the only text on the page is directions about how to use the protocol • considering the previous points, I fail to see how this meets any definition of "spam" • a similar link in Wikipedia for a similar page has been in existence for four years and none of the seasoned editors have seen fit to remove it • the page in question contains no advertising • the page in question is free for everyone in the English speaking world to use • it is compatible with all browsers • no external applications or plugins are needed • there is absolutely nothing on the page in question that is for sale • the site where the page is featured is not a social networking site • the page in question is not a search result page • the author of this website is a recognized authority in the field of relaxation techniques; he is a member of the United States Olympic Committee Sport Psychology Registry who trained at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and has practiced relaxation therapy for over 40 years • an example of a relaxation protocol is 100% related to the topic at hand • there are no commercial links on the page in question • the page is functional and there are no referral links within the text • I am a librarian by education and trade, not a spambot, who has no relationship to the website or the website owner; however, I do find the protocols there to be informative and useful • I quote to you from Wikipedia's own rules regarding conflict of interest: "Choose which pages to link based on the immediate benefit to Wikipedia readers that click on the link, not based on the organization's tax status or your guess at whether the website's owner might earn money from the link." I believe this is something you need to carefully consider, too, because this link IS BENEFICIAL to those who click on it. • I reiterate: if a link to an actual example of the subject at hand is "not appropriate for an encyclopedia" then a lot of external links in Wikipedia are in serious jeopardy.

I respectfully ask that you immediately reinstate the Relaxation Technique link you removed. This is not spam. This is not a ploy to gain ground in the Google listings or to sell the protocols. The ability to "experience" a subject firsthand is what makes the internet and Wikipedia so much better than a traditional text-based source of information. Thanks for getting back to me! Did you see my comment on your talk page—where is this supposed to go, there or here? Anyway, I did more than "deprod" the article, I found a couple sources that I hope are WP:RS enough to keep it from getting deleted in the interim while I work on further improvements. But this isn't exactly my day job so I fear that may take some time. Especially since you've tagged so many trance articles with a bunch of needs-improvement tags while also proposing their deletion. Would you mind withdrawing the deletion requests until (A) the supposed CoI sock army is identified and can be separated from legitimate enthusiast edits, and (B) these articles have had some time with the improvement tags to give them a chance to be improved?
