Speedy deletion nomination of Uniweb

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Uniweb requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. –Roscelese (talkcontribs) 19:13, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Uniweb. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 20:01, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Mertmetin613, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Dmacrini (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who use multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please remember to disclose these connections. Thank you. -War wizard90 (talk) 04:50, 3 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi. My name is Diego Macrini. The other user is Mert Meting. We are two very different people working for the same company, Proximify.

Why did you delete the Uniweb entry? I put a lot of work into it and made all the require changes so that it had original text, was properly referenced, was relevant, and it was written in Wikipedia style.

Can you please put it back and explain your reasons behind it. In 20 years, this is the first time that I add something to Wikipedia. I have been donating money to the Wikipedia project and I never used it for editing before. There are pages here fore related software but you you are discriminating against ours for no reason. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dmacrini (talkcontribs) 13:57, 3 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Also, I didn't remove the speedy delete thingy on purpose. It's the first time we create a Wikipedia entry so I so a thing with curly brackets and removed it. I didn't know it generated that notice.

Can you please explain why you deleted the page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dmacrini (talkcontribs) 14:03, 3 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Dmarcini and Mertmetin613: I did not delete the page. Only administrator's can do that. In this particular case RHaworth was the admin. who made the call to delete the Uniweb page, you may wish to discuss the details with them. However, the reason it was tagged for speedy deletion was because it did not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject. In order to be considered "credible" you must cite reliable sources that are not primary sources. In order to be considered "important or significant" the cited sources must address the topic directly and in detail, so that no original research is needed to extract the content. Significant coverage is more than a trivial mention, but it need not be the main topic of the source material. For more information please see Wikipedia's General Notability Guideline. Finally, for new user's it is recommended that you create new articles through the Article Wizard which will guide you step-by-step through the process of creating a good article. This also allows you to create, edit, and improve the article in a draftspace before moving it into the main article space, where it is subject to deletion if it fails Wikipedia's criteria. Your work is not lost or "discarded" it can be recovered and moved into a draftspace for you to work on if an administrator deems it appropriate, this is something you could inquire of from the deleting admin. as well. Finally, coordinating accounts/edits with another person and for promotional reasons is discouraged. Please see: Conflict of Issues and Sock puppetry policies in regards to this. Let me know if you need assistance with anything else. - -War wizard90 (talk) 00:24, 4 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
