Feedback

edit

Hi! Here's the feedback I promised:

  • This needs editing for neutrality. It contains point of view, subjective words and phrases, which makes it non-neutral. For example, the word beautiful is subjective. You may have a group that agrees completely, while others may disagree for their own subjective reasons. Even the word masterpiece can be seen as a subjective statement since the term has very specific connotations to it, as there are quite a few people who don't see murals to be art at all.
  • The writing style is also fairly casual in tone, as it has more of a narrative view as opposed to a formal third person. It reads more like a reaction to the murals rather than a summary of what has been published about the murals.
  • This lacks sourcing to establish how the murals are notable - keep in mind that although these did undoubtedly gain attention when they were created, what's needed here is coverage of the murals' creation in places like newspapers, academic and scholarly texts, and the like. The sourcing must also be independent of the murals' creator(s), meaning that a post by the university that employs Fernandez would be seen as primary.
Sourcing is one of the most major concerns, as articles without enough sourcing to establish notability can be removed.

I hope this all helps - this will need to be resolved before it can be moved live. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 20:40, 31 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Beebe downtown murals moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Beebe downtown murals, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. creffett (talk) 02:18, 12 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Beebe downtown murals

edit

Hello, Megan.stonerock. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Beebe downtown murals".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 16:36, 25 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
