Sheila Kennedy (Architect) edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Sheila Kennedy (Architect), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.holcimfoundation.org/T1167/SheilaKennedy.htm.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Speedy deletion nomination of Sheila Kennedy (Architect) edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sheila Kennedy (Architect) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. June 2011 edit

  Hello Mebu83. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. BelovedFreak 10:20, 14 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Re: Sheila Kennedy (Architect) edit

I agree to the speedy deletion, shouldnt have gotten so lazy and wrote it myself. Thanks! 10:42, 14 June 2011 (UTC)

Further to the above message, aside from the copyright problem you are not forbidden from writing about people you are personally or professionally connected to, but it's generally best to leave it up to someone else; if the person is notable, someone will get around to writing about them. Another option is to add it to Wikipedia:Requested articles although I believe there is quite a long backlog there.--BelovedFreak 10:49, 14 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hey BelovedFreak, thanks for your clarification, I will keep that in mind while trying to contribute to the Wikipedia project. Cheers Mebu83 (talk) 11:13, 14 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

That's ok, I can understand that you may want to work in your own particular area of interest, and many editors do, you shouldn't run into too much trouble as long as you stick to Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and the other policies and guidelines variously linked to on this page (although there are a lot, so it takes time to get to know them!) You can always ask for help at the help desk or ask for feedback on any articles you write at Requests for feedback. Enjoy! --BelovedFreak 11:31, 14 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
