Speedy deletion nomination of Computer Science and Business Studies Institute (CSBSI)

edit

Hello Md Torikul Islam (Joypurhat),

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Computer Science and Business Studies Institute (CSBSI) for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Trivialist (talk) 12:58, 6 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of My Favorite University List

edit

The article My Favorite University List has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unencyclopedic: apparently a student's class schedule.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —teb728 t c 08:51, 7 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • I've blocked you for 48 hours, partially because I want to ensure that you will see this. I've blocked you because ultimately the majority of your edits have been to use Wikipedia as a personal blog where you upload your list of favorite schools and your school schedule. Please understand that Wikipedia is not a blog or web host for your personal opinions, schedules, or other miscellany. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't make up lists like this or post your schedule on the Internet, just that Wikipedia is not the right place for this and it's seen as very, very inappropriate. After the block is up you're welcome to edit, but I'd like you to take this time to read WP:NOT (a list of inappropriate uses for Wikipedia), WP:PROMOTIONAL (as the page for the college was very, very promotional in tone), and general stuff like WP:GNG (notability) and WP:RS (reliable sources). My only further warning is that if you make pages like this again once the block is up, you run the risk of another block- this one being potentially permanent. On a side note, since you seem to be located in India, you may want to stop by WP:INDIA once the block is up and introduce yourself and see if anyone on there can mentor you. You can also stop by WP:TEAHOUSE, which is a good place to start for new editors. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:23, 7 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
