Proposed deletion of Adam Blair (entrepreneur) edit

The article Adam Blair (entrepreneur) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG with inadequate secondary sources - simple data pages at speedsport-magazine.com, and a story about an advert being banned which does not mention Blair by name.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello. Had just posted a reply at Talk:Adam Blair (entrepreneur). The article needs at least two strong reliable sources if it's going to be kept. --McGeddon (talk) 19:06, 20 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I just saw that and replied. I'll have a look and see if there are any other relaible sources on him, there's a week before it'll actually be removed right? Mcopestake (talk) 19:08, 20 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Transparent Technologies edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Transparent Technologies requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.   Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. SwisterTwister talk 22:18, 18 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Could you elaborate please? What was the issue here? Mcopestake (talk) 22:55, 18 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • Your contributions have involved adding content that is considered promotional even if the sources are significant because there's still promotionalism hinting in the articles. SwisterTwister talk 03:17, 19 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
@SwisterTwister: What content exactly? I tried to make sure everything was neutral as if I hadn't used the software. I can't think what you are referring to, and now the article has been deleted there's no way to check so I know for the future. Also why was deletion necessary and not just altering what you considered to be promotional? Mcopestake (talk) 08:24, 19 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
I believe this is another area where you have a WP:Conflict of interest (as is Open-Realty), so may I suggest that it is also inadvisable for you to be editing these subjects as well. Please take this on board. Thanks, Number 57 16:05, 19 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Number 57: Again, other than a user I have no affiliation with Transparent Tech, I have just used their software and know enough about it to update pages. I'll not edit these pages in the future though to avoid silly issues like this. Mcopestake (talk) 16:10, 19 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
