De Laval Nozzle

In the Exhaust Gas Velocity section, why do the variables in the last few paragraphs need to be bolded? It's not hard to see them if you read that section, and I think it looks pretty annoying as it is. They should either be un-bolded or put into math format, but I'd like to leave them as HTML. I completely agree with you that the variables in the text should remain as HTML. However, I disagree that they should be unbolded. In my eyes, the variables being bolded makes that text section much easier to read and to understand. Perhaps, we must just agree to disagree. Regards, mbeychok (talk) 14:28, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

The variables in the text were in bold font for many years before you decided to "math-ize" the variable list and then also decided to to unbold the variables in the text. I am simply of the opinion that the variables in the text should remain in bold font as they were for many years. I have no preferences regarding your "math-izing" of the variable list ... but, as I said just above, the bolded variables in the text make it much easier to read and to understand. Perhaps that is why no one unbolded them over the many years that they have been bolded.

Just as a matter of interest, those variables in the text have been bolded since April 2006 (six years ago). mbeychok (talk) 05:42, 19 September 2012 (UTC)

Activated sludge control

I wanted to thank you for editing my activated sludge control addition i made a couple of days ago. I, and other california operators, are trained with the " Ken Kerri courses". Cal state university sacramento dept of civil engineering. I shoul probably make an account but haven't yet.

By the bye, i tried to correct/edit the Sewage treatment sectin in Bioreactors and it was "undone", it has little to do with wastewater but instead tissue culture.

Orifice Plate

Sorry didn't know how to use this talk thing this is the first time I've made an edit. Would have done this before just undoing the edit. I see now that Equations 5 and onward were all based off of the other (pretty sure incorrect?) equation for Y. I don't have the time to look at changing those until next week, not sure what to do about simplifying the mass flow equation anyway...

When an anonymous newcomer to WP makes only one edit, the addition of a link to his/her company's website, the odds are that he/she are only interested in advertising that company's website. I did read your trouble shooting guide and found that it contained very little of real value to the Cooling tower article.

Unfortunately, the article was tagged for speedy deletion because of not demonstrating notability, and later it was deleted, possibly before you could see it. I revised your first sentence so as to mention my army service, my work at Fluor and my consulting work in their correct chronological order. I also added a few words marked by enclosing the three of them with superscripts a, b, and c. I further added some wiki internal links "process design", "U.S. Army", "World War II", "France" and "Germany".

As I mentioned earlier, I am now 91 years old and my wife and I are living in an assisted living facility. I seriously doubt that the Los Angeles Times would be interested in interviewing me. If the Wikipedia Editors do no accept your article about me, then so be it. It is not that important to me and thanks for your efforts.

Thank you for your reply. Your revision of the article "List of American non-fiction environmental writers" motivated me to do what I could to be sure that the new entry qualified for inclusion. (Related guidelines are at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lists and Wikipedia:Red link and Wikipedia:Write the article first.) If that entry stays in that list, then other editors might claim the need for equal treatment for other entries without articles (regardless of notability or the lack of it), and the list might become unmanageable. I hope that you would not be offended by my removal of that entry.

In the history of the article "List of environmental books", I removed entries without articles at 16:22, 13 October 2011, at 16:25, 13 October 2011, at 02:51, 8 July 2012, at 15:48, 13 July 2012, at 01:50, 3 October 2012, at 15:39, 6 April 2013, at 15:44, 6 May 2013, and at 14:39, 4 July 2013.

Your revision of the article "List of environmental books" at 16:28, 12 June 2014 does not have that problem, because the added entry has an article already existing.
