September 2015 edit

Hello, I'm C.Fred. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Maksim Behar without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I have restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. —C.Fred (talk) 15:26, 27 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • In regards to some comments you made at my talk page:
My name…
First issue right here: If you are Maksim Behar, you need to contact the Volunteer Response Team via email so they can verify your identity. There's no way for me to do that as an administrator via talk; plus, for the personal information they'll need, it's best done off Wiki and via email. If you do not verify your identity, then the administrators may decide to block your account since there's no way to prove you're not an impostor. Again, contact the VRT directly to address this.
…is spelled Maxim, but someone, not even recognised or registered is changing it to Maksim, with "ks", which is not the right spelling…
There was a thread at Talk:Maksim Behar about the spelling. The user who moved it did not reply, so I'd suggest following directions at WP:RM to formally request a move. Bear in mind that you will need to show that independent reliable sources use the Maxim spelling.
I did also remove parts, which are not true, based only on media publications…
You'll need to explain on the talk page how the media misreported the story, and ideally, provide links to other reliable sources that bear out your assertions. Please see WP:Verifiability for more guidance on how Wikipedia articles should follow what has been published in reliable secondary sources.
…I do not want to have private details on my profile.
Notable people are subject to having relevant portions of their private life as part of their articles. I'll take a look at the section about the marital status and see if it's compliant with guidelines.
Can I block or lock my profile
Not in the way you want to, no. An article would only be protected if there were vandalism from new or unregistered users or if there were a content dispute. If the article were fully protected, you would not be able to edit it. Remember, it is not "your" article; it is a neutrally-written article about Behar.
Can I delete my profile?
No, you cannot delete the article Maksim Behar. You could request deletion—any user can nominate an article for deletion—but you'd have to demonstrate that the subject is not a notable person or otherwise not suitable of an article. WP:Articles for deletion has instructions and information. (And no, you can't delete this article and then create a new version.) —C.Fred (talk) 16:43, 27 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
Follow-up: the source about Mila Behar and Superbrands did not mention any connection between her and Maksim, so that sentence has been removed from the article. —C.Fred (talk) 16:50, 27 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
