Welcome!

edit

Hello, Matthew Wisnefsky, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Moshe Wisnefsky, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! —C.Fred (talk) 22:57, 5 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Re: how to remove the page from which it was redirected

edit

Dear C. Fred can you look at the page that I may have a conflict of interest in. I made a page for a distant relative who is an author and has been mentioned on a few pages already. I do not want to be biased while writing it and if you have any suggestions I'd be happy to fix the page. The page is Moshe Wisnefsky. ---Matthew Wisnefsky — Preceding unsigned comment added by Matthew Wisnefsky (talkcontribs) 23:01, 5 September 2016 (UTC) Reply

First, the above was at my talk page, but since it's in reply to a message here, I'm continuing the thread here.
The {{COI}} tag exists to alert other editors that there is a conflict of interest situation that exists and to review the article for tone. That said, the more independent reliable sources you can find and cite in the article, the better. —C.Fred (talk) 23:05, 5 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thank you C. Fred I will try to find more reliable sources.--Matthew Wisnefsky

Multiple unsourced additions/changes

edit

Hello, Matthew Wisnefsky. Welcome to Wikipedia. I have reverted some of your changes that did not show the sources where you found the information. Wikipedia's most important content policies include WP:V and WP:OR, which require that when you add new information to the encyclopedia, you must cite your sources and refrain from including other information that you believe, or have concluded, to be the case. Please read those two links for more information. Best regards, -- Ssilvers (talk) 21:38, 27 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Cesar Daniel Izturis

edit

Hello, Matthew Wisnefsky. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Cesar Daniel Izturis, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Cesar Daniel Izturis to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, Montanabw(talk) 19:32, 12 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

I do not believe that the page should be deleted. When I made the article, I added a source. Multiple I think. I'd like an explanation of why it should be deleted. Cesar Daniel Izturis is an up and coming minor league player and he's going to make a big impact for the Mariners in the near future

Deletion discussion about Cesar Daniel Izturis

edit

Hello, Matthew Wisnefsky,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Cesar Daniel Izturis should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cesar Daniel Izturis .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, Montanabw(talk) 19:36, 12 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

I think it's ridiculous to even suggest that the page should be deleted. Cesar Daniel isn't well known. So what. So are obscure townships in Poland, that have their own page. I think it's amazing that people wish to just go around deleting articles that may not be hugely important but are informational , that's censorship and I'm sure that's not what Wikipedia is about.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Cesar Daniel Izturis. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot ITalk to my owner:Online 02:25, 13 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
