Mentoring

Read over the links in the welcome to start to get an idea of what to look for. In general for new articles, you want to make sure that the subject meets the proper criteria for inclusion (WP:CORP for companies, WP:BIO for a person, etc.}. I'll take a look at your edits and let you know if I see anything good or bad. Wildthing61476 20:21, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

I saw a couple of your edits, good job so far! Just a couple things you want to remember though, if you comment on a talk page or a discussion, make sure you use ~~~~ at the end of the post. Also, ALWAYS use an edit summary. If you have to, turn on the option to confirm whether you entered a edit summary or not in your user preferences. Wildthing61476 00:56, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

Hey, just wanted to say keep it up, you're doing a great job with looking out for vandalism. Wildthing61476 20:39, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Re:Blocked IPs

Hey Mato, IPs can edit their own talk pages while blocked and that's it. This is so they may appeal their block, and give comment. I've blocked the IP in question for 31 hours. Thanks for the tip, but in the future, you can report abuse to WP:AIV. Thanks again, and if you need more help just contact me. Malinaccier (talk) 22:55, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Talk:State terrorism and the United States

Please do not revert my edits as you have done here and call it vandalism. We are talking about politics and i made a metaphorical anology. So it is proper context of discussion and not in violation of Wikipedia policies. Also Wikipedia is not censored. Regards, Igor Berger (talk) 09:44, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

warnings

Hello Mato.
I noticed that you revert quite a bit of vandalism. Thank you for helping keep Wikipedia the best encyclopedia in the world!
However, I have noticed that you do not always leave warnings on the users talk pages. You should always leave an appropriate warning after reverting vandalism. (The full list of talk page warnings may be found here, along with some suggestions and guidelines for using them.)
Be sure to leave the correct level of warning, and if the users has been warned four times in the last month, (Check the users talk page history. Some users remove warnings from their talk pages.) report by going to this page and following the instructions.
Thank you again, and may vandalism fail. Ultra! 19:19, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

huh

I did not vandalize anything, what do you mean?Hans (talk) 17:02, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

It's okay, judging from my talk history; someone accused me of committing vandalism, and signed it with your name. Then it was removed by another user. So by the time you saw my talk page, it has already been removed. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hzoons (talkcontribs) 18:08, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

  • I have replied on your user talk page. That was indeed the problem and the user in question has since been blocked. No worries :) Mato (talk) 18:20, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Why?

Why has my That Mitchell and Webb Look contribution been reverted? There is nothing wrong with it! Shnear (talk) 18:10, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Ok. Someone must of added this inappropriate comment before I edited the page. Couldn't you of just deleted the 'silly catface' bit? Shnear (talk) 10:29, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Harmony in Violence EP

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Harmony in Violence EP, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Wikipedia:WikiProject TUGS!

Hi Mato, just wanted to ask, I noticed you left a comment on the talk page of the above Wikiproject asking if there was anything to do. Just wondering if you are still interested?? We would love to have you! --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 23:29, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

Sure I'm around if you need me to do anything. Mato (talk) 17:01, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
Glad to hear you're still up for it! I'll tell you briefly whats going on. A while back, all of the pages in Category:TUGS characters (a category itself i'm going to speedy in a couple of days) were nominated for deletion, and in reality, they all deserved it. The articles on the series' characters were listy, and basically full of information that didn't warrant its own article. So they were gone, and all of them were redirected to List of recurring TUGS characters/List of minor TUGS characters (depending on importance).
At the moment some of the more simple things that need doing is a helluva lot of relinking. In case you haven't noticed, about 99% of the links which direct to the two above pages are redirects from pages linking to the actual character pages ("Ten Cents (TUGS)", "Warrior (TUGS)"), so this needs sorted out a bit. I've been trying to sort this out myself, but obviously with their being so many characters, and so little editors active in the project, it takes a while. I'd love to have your help on the matter.
Did you ever watch the show yourself? Cheers again, --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 12:56, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Did watch the show as a child yes. Will get to work with the relinking and see where it goes from there. No problem. Mato (talk) 20:41, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

a perfect murder/modern crimes

how is that vandalism, if all 5 members of a previous lineup of a band are together again under a new name and i put it on their page? and i included factual biographical information that keeps being taken down, the page right now looks disgusting because its not entirely accurate and leaves out information

sorry if i sound mad, but im just curious to know why this is occuring

  • Hi there. The page is about the band A Perfect Murder. I would consider it ok to write a paragraph on how the band have reformed to create a new band called Modern Crimes. I am aware that you did this, but it was not this that I removed. I removed dates next to the current band members, as I decided that this looked untidy, and that the current band members should ultimately be moved in to the info box. As for the factual biographical information, everything you add should be cited with sources. I apologise for calling your most recent edit to the page 'vandalism', as this is quite clearly incorrect and I have removed my warning from your talk page. Thanks. Mato (talk) 17:42, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

oh okay, i understand, no problem :D

yeah, alot of the biographical info I had was found on their official page, but thats long gone even though its still listed as a source, I'll see if I can find another source though, I mean I have all of their albums but its not like I can list that as a source lol

thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheLordStefan (talkcontribs) 02:18, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia:WikiProject TUGS

Hey Tom, there's some new TUGS stuff going on, i've edited the template above to change the link to the most recent discussion on it. Come have a look if you're interested. also, i noticed in some of your subpages that you're in a band, is any of your stuff up on the web anywhere? --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 17:01, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Andy Wright Bartok.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Andy Wright Bartok.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 17:06, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

tagging of Small plots

You tagged Small plots with {{db-a7}}. WP:CSD#A7 does not apply to articles about places or neighborhoods. Nor do I see any other speedy criterion which would apply. Since the article is nearly identical to another from the same creator, i have redirected one to the other.

Please be careful when applying CSD tags. i know you are working hard to keep vandalism and inappropriate pages out of the project, and I thank you. But there may be only two sets of eyes on a page tagged for speedy deletion, so each person must be particularly careful. A7 is intentionally a very narrow criterion, and applies only to a very limited list of article categories. Please do not use it where it does not apply. Thank you.
