I'm not upset with you; learning Wikipedia's policies in the face of many experienced editors who are discussing removing your contributions is undoubtedly frustrating. My statement was that it has no third party sources, not that it's an advertisement. One good point in the discussion was that while MySpace and the bands are notable, the sponsorship of the shows by others through MySpace isn't necessarily notable. I'm sorry that you feel that your time has been wasted. Leebo T/C 22:20, 26 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

It sounds like you're saying some combination of "it should have an article because it has a fanbase" and "it should have an article because many other non-notable articles exist", neither of which are valid arguments. It's not that I "have it out" for your article. It came up on the log deletion discussions (there are hundreds every day) and I commented in it. I'm not running around blindly looking for articles to delete. You can see, I have contributed several new articles myself. I looked at the article and asked myself if it meets Wikipedia's policies and I felt it didn't and explained myself. If you disagree, that's fine, but I expect an argument ground in the same policies. Leebo T/C 22:34, 26 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
People have done that to me (See:Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/DynaMed). It's called disrupting Wikipedia to prove a point. Leebo T/C 22:39, 26 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
I gave my opinion, I'm not sure what else there is to say. I'm not sure either why you singled me out to ask all of these questions, it wasn't me who nominated your article for deletion. I'm only one of many who commented. Leebo T/C 22:45, 26 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

JuJube nominated the article. His comment is the one at the very top of the discussion. You may have noticed mine first because I bold my name in my signature, and as the first commenter I started my post with the bolded Delete (the nominator doesn't because it's assumed that he's saying Delete). It probably would have been courteous for him to leave you a note telling you the discussion was taking place, but there's not much that can be done about that now. Leebo T/C 22:52, 26 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Blanking the discussion edit

I'm not sure if you did this by accident, but make sure you don't do it again. The discussion is permanent and repeated removal of other editors comments will be considered vandalism. Leebo T/C 23:05, 26 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

The discussion has to go for 5 days before an administrator will close it. The AfD template may not be removed from the article. I have no say in this, it's Wikipedia policy. Someone else will reinstate the discussion if I don't. Leebo T/C 23:14, 26 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

AfD at MySpace Secret Shows edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with MySpace Secret Shows. The notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an article, and removing them is considered vandalism. If you oppose the deletion of an article, you may comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. --ZimZalaBim (talk) 00:47, 27 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

As a courtesy to other editors, it is a Wikipedia guideline to sign your posts on talk pages, user talk pages, and WikiProject pages. To do so, simply add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments and your user name or IP address and the date will be automatically added along with a timestamp. Tell on the administrators? What are you referring to? If you are talking about how I struck your second "keep" !vote in the discussion, that's so that the administrator who closes it can tell that it wasn't 2 different people saying keep. Leebo T/C 22:04, 27 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

MySpace Secret Shows edit

I've had to delete this page again as you recreated it shortly after it was deleted according to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/MySpace Secret Shows. If you wish to recreate this article, you should go through Deletion Review. When contributing to Wikipedia, please try to remain civil, it certainly stops people getting their backs up. -- Nick t 19:56, 31 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Since the page was originally deleted via an AFD, it can be speedy deleted (that is, without warning) if the same content is posted again. That is what happened. If you strongly feel the article meets the notability requirements, then I would suggest that you open a request for the deletion to be reviewed at WP:DRV. Hope this helps.--thunderboltz(TALK) 20:03, 31 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Instructions to open a deletion review are listed at Wikipedia:Deletion_Review#Instructions. I'd gladly open a deletion review for you, but first you need to talk to the administrator who deleted the page, and voice your concerns with him. If you are able to convince him that the notability of the article meets those required by Wikipedia (See WP:N ), then he himself will undelete it.
Addendum: I see you've already contacted him. Please wait for his reply. I've copied the last revision temporarily to User:Martini833/MySpace Secret Shows, which you can work on meanwhile.--thunderboltz(TALK) 20:25, 31 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
An administrator's view is at par with that of a normal editor. Administrators just have access to a few more technical aspects of Wikipedia. As far as I can see, the article has a fair chance of being restored. However, many would recommend it to be merged into MySpace, no doubt.--thunderboltz(TALK) 20:45, 31 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
All right then. Go to Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2007 March 31 and edit the page to add the following at the end:
{{subst:Newdelrev|pg=MySpace Secret Shows|reason=REASON}}
where "REASON" should be replaced with the reason you request the article to be restored. Please remember to remain civil and not to attack the admin who deleted the page, or your views wouldn't be heard in a favourable light.
Ping me if you have any difficulties going about this. I'll be online for a few more minutes.--thunderboltz(TALK) 20:56, 31 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
I've removed the fair use images from this page whilst it resides in user space (it's against policy). You'll need to remove the comments <!-- and --> to show the images again. -- Nick t 21:38, 31 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry, but if you notice my userspace, you will see that I'm having certain issues that prevent me from interacting much with the community at present. Good luck with the deletion review.--thunderboltz(TALK) 06:16, 1 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

MySpace Secret Shows edit

In regards to your comment on my talk page, I've posted this reply and am copying it here for convenience:

I "wanted to delete both entries" since they had issues with third-party proven notability, as explained by numerous other editors on Wikipedia. Contrary to what you may think, if the article is recreated with these issues taken care of, I'll be very happy with it being here. *Vendetta* (whois talk edits) 02:28, 4 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
That already seems much better than the one that was deleted. I will admit that I have not been editing for too long, so I'm not proficient with images and things yet. I've mostly been doing wikify and cleanup. I'll be glad to check the article over for things like that (probably tomorrow). You might want to use <ref> ... </ref> tags in-line with each sentence you are attributing to that source URL, and then use <references /> in the References section. I think that would be more effective than a list at the bottom, especially given the notability arguments with the subject. If you decide to make it that way, I may be able to help with the code. *Vendetta* (whois talk edits) 03:25, 4 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Unfortunately, an article you recently created, MySpace Events, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new articles, so it will shortly be removed (if it hasn't been already). list of MySpace Events edit

In reply to comment on my talk page: Honestly, I think that any and all mention of other pages that you've fought other editors over - such as that list - should be kept out of the ongoing AfD for MySpace Events. Sometimes other editors will get distracted over related things that they disagree with, and it causes a lot of negative impact on the decision of whether to "Delete" or "Keep". Other than that, I think you should probably not fight the editors on the subject - if MySpace Events passes the AfD, after so much hard work and argument, maybe it's best to let the list go. I'm not saying that it wasn't a valid contribution, but it doesn't have as much content as the main article, and lists seem to be generally discouraged here. *Vendetta* (whois talk edits) 19:32, 9 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/MySpace Events edit

From the history, the AfD debate was closed as a deletion by admin Ian Manka (talk · contribs). He didn't participate in the discussion because that is how it works here. Admins who participate in an AfD discussion should not close them as keep or delete because that would be a conflict of interest. AfD's should be closed by a neutral admin who reads all of the opinions and makes a decision. If you disagree with this decision, you can open another deletion review for this article.--Isotope23 20:19, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

In reply to the comment on my talk page: The article was deleted because enough people voted to delete it in the AfD, which can be read here. I personally don't think there was a consensus to do so, but it's up to the person that reads through the arguments and closes it to decide. Please do not recreate this article under that name or any other. It is important that you follow this policy, because future contributions of yours will be more likely to be looked down upon if other editors think you are trying to bend the rules. I think that the AfD failed in the first place because everyone was so busy worrying about previous attempts you had made to create this article, under different names. Please keep that in mind, and add the material to the main MySpace article. *Vendetta* (whois talk edits) 22:19, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Also in reply to your message on my talkpage... I can't (or more accurately shouldn't) just revert a deletion unilaterally. Admins overturning other admin's decisions without any discussion is called wheel warring and it is strongly discouraged. I'd let the deletion review run course; from the looks of it the MySpace Events deletion is going to be overturned there so the article will be restored anyway.--Isotope23 00:55, 11 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

No problem edit

In the future, you might want to just report something like this an WP:ANI right away instead of miving to temporarily created pages... it makes more work for the admin to clean up.--Isotope23 01:43, 22 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notable Pixar Emps edit

As I've stated before, I'm *against* Ratz being listed as a Pixar employee on the template. He is a voice actor (and has become relatively minor in his Pixar roles as of late). To put him in the template would elevate him above other Pixar notable people, which I think would be incorrect. SpikeJones 00:31, 24 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on List of MySpace Events, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how List of MySpace Events is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:List of MySpace Events saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we request you to follow these instructions. --Finngall talk 23:01, 2 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

MySpace Events edit

Please do any rewrites in your user space sandbox. These articles have been deleted 6 times and 4 times respectively, the last several times as exact copies of articles that were deleted at AfD... which is why I protected them from recreation. You should probably create articles on these topics off line or in your own userspace.--Isotope23 19:53, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Pixarshorts.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Pixarshorts.jpg. June 2008 edit

Please do not create hoaxes, such as you did in the article BURN-E‎. Cease and desist from introducing misinformation into Wikipedia if you are attempting to test our ability to detect and remove it. This has been done before, with universally negative results. Hoaxes are marked for deletion shortly after they are created. Kindly — do not disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method is to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia, and then to check to see how long they have been in place and, if possible, correct them. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia policy to learn more about this project and how you can make a positive impact. Thanks, // Chris (complaints)(contribs) 03:33, 21 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of BURN-E edit

I have nominated BURN-E, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/BURN-E. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? // Chris (complaints)(contribs) 03:42, 21 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

upcoming pixar? edit

similar names prompt me to ask....? SpikeJones (talk) 23:50, 21 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

yup Martini833 (talk) 22:26, 30 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Good for you. No offense intended with this, but now you need to be extra careful to minimize any WP:COI or NPOV edits as there may be fingerpointing about whether you are associated with Pixar or not. Being spotlighted like that means your edits here need to be extra good. (but you already knew this, of course) SpikeJones (talk) 15:51, 1 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

How could I be associated with Pixar if I'm writing for an unnoficial blog. But yeah, it's kind of annoying how so many people here assume you're trying to advertie. I've had people accuse me of being a marketing guy from MySpace. Pshhhh/. Well thanks for the warning. :) Martini833 (talk) 20:22, 1 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

YOU know this, and I know this, but THEY may not. Just be careful... and please pay attention to talk page discussions that you are now directly involved in, such as the JCoM drama on the template page. SpikeJones (talk) 21:16, 1 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Th whiteblank.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Th whiteblank.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — This, that, and the other (talk) 02:00, 11 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Disney/Pixar listed at Redirects for discussion edit

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Disney/Pixar. Since you had some involvement with the Disney/Pixar redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Steel1943 (talk) 16:22, 26 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
