License tagging for Image:Justice Shaykh Muhammad Karam Shah al-Azhari.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Justice Shaykh Muhammad Karam Shah al-Azhari.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Some problems edit

Some of the articles you have added recently included "© Bakhtyar Pirzada 2006" at the end. If this is you, then there is no problem, but you license all contributions to Wikipedia under the GFDL. If, however, this is not you, you must remove the articles as they are a violation of copyright.

It is not usual in Wikipedia to include titles (like Sheikh/Shaykh or Justice) in article titles. Please see WP:NCP for information.

Please consider making the articles you submit shorter, adding sources, and focusing on the notability of the people you are writing about.

Unspecified source for Image:Shaykh Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Shaykh Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 15:04, 13 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Recreation of deleted articles edit

Hi. Please do not re-create deleted articles. Also, please note that we do not use honorifics in Wikipedia. If you want to create an article about a notable Islamic scholar, then that's absolutely fine. But things like "(peace be upon him)" after every mention of Mohammed, do not belong in an encyclopædia. Thank you.. and good luck with your articles. EuroSong talk 15:11, 13 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Images VS Pages being deleted edit

Just a quick point of clarification. If you upload an image of uncertain (or indeed illegal) copyright status, it tends to get deleted. The article that it exists to illuminate, however, may not go the same way. An article going up for deletion means that an editor thinks that the subject of the article isn't notable enough for inclusion, and that's something different to the legal status of any images therein. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Jamia al-karam logo.PNG edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Jamia al-karam logo.PNG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:26, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Al-Karam Publications edit

The article Al-Karam Publications has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A search for references failed to find significant coverage in reliable sources to comply with notability requirements. This included web searches for news coverage, books, and journals, which can be seen from the following links:
Al-Karam Publicationsnews, books, scholar
Consequently, this article is about a subject that appears to lack sufficient notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. AfD nomination of Muhammad Karam Shah al-Azhari edit

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Muhammad Karam Shah al-Azhari. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Muhammad Karam Shah al-Azhari. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:13, 16 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Al-Karam Publications edit

A tag has been placed on Al-Karam Publications, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — e. ripley\talk 02:54, 2 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
