July 2017 edit

Hello, I'm Donner60. I noticed that you made a change to an article, List of people from Jammu and Kashmir, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Donner60 (talk) 03:57, 22 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

The following note is at the top of the page you edited:
Please note: "This list is subject to the Biographies of living persons (lists) policy and the lists of people guideline. Please familiarize yourself with both before editing this list. In addition, note that a reliable source that justifies inclusion in this list must be provided for any new entry." Please review the linked pages. See especially: Wikipedia:Verifiability; Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources; and Wikipedia:Citing sources.
Every person whose name is listed on that page has a Wikipedia article about them. (I deleted one other name of a person who is not the subject of a Wikipedia article and has no source cited to show his notability. You are trying to add yourself as a notable person when there is no such article and you have not cited a reliable, verifiable, third-party, neutral source in the article. (See linked pages in the list below for information about sources and how to cite them.)
Also, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. The beginning of that page reads: "Conflict of interest (COI) editing involves contributing to Wikipedia about yourself, family, friends, clients, employers, or your financial and other relationships. Any external relationship can trigger a conflict of interest.[a] That someone has a conflict of interest is a description of a situation, not a judgment about that person's opinions or integrity.[b]
"COI editing is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia. It undermines public confidence, and it risks causing public embarrassment to the individuals being promoted." So you are discouraged from adding yourself to a list as a notable person even if you cite a reliable, verifiable source. Just because you are an accredited journalist does not mean there are third-party reliable sources that discuss you personally.
