Hello, I'm Chrissymad. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Beef bourguignon have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you.   Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Pollo a la Brasa. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Stop adding this link everywhere. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 14:50, 10 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. @Chrissymad: Please stop biting the newbies.

MarieOra, regarding your edit to Abbey Road, the general consensus is we only include pronunciations for article titles when they are at risk of being mispronounced by a typical native speaker. For example, the name "Hervey" as used by the Marquesses of Bristol is pronounced like "Derby" or "Hertford" in British (but not US) English, which is why the good article John Hervey, 7th Marquess of Bristol has an IPA pronunciation link saying this. Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Pronunciation has further reading. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:09, 12 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Ritchie333 How on earth was that biting? I gave them several warnings and they continued to spam a spam link repeatedly. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 12:12, 12 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
You should have assumed good faith and left a personalised message. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:13, 12 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
Ritchie333 I'd invite you to take a look at the bottom of some of the links they've continued to insert. See here. There is no requirement to leave a personalized message especially in the midst of a spam campaign. My first warning was assuming good faith and so was every subsequent one and why I didn't go right for an only warning. And speaking of good faith, maybe that's what you should be doing here instead of accusing me of doing something wrong. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 12:15, 12 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
And I'll also add WP:ADV makes it pretty clear what is acceptable and that they've continued introducing spam links following my final warning. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 12:22, 12 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Blocked

edit

I have blocked your account, initially for 24 hours, whilst this mess of promotional editing is dealt with. I expect discussion here about what you are doing and discussion with the above parties on a way forward. Nick (talk) 12:38, 12 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Noting that you have been adding the link to howdoyousaythatword.com crosswiki. If that continues against the instruction by the communities, you are likely to not only to be blocked again, but also to find that the wikis or all wikis will blacklist the domain. At this point the URL needs to be globally blacklisted (along with pronounce.london) as it serves no encyclopedic value. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 14:20, 14 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppet investigation
