List of freeware edit

Hi. I wanted to explain why I reverted your edit to List of freeware. The problem is that your addition wasn't sourced. Wikipedia is not a directory, which means that entries should be cited to a reliable source that identifies it as freeware. This provides a means of keeping the list manageable. For example, one of the entries you included, GanttProject, is described in its Wikipedia article as open source. Open source and freeware are frequently differentiated by reliable sources, and what exactly fits under the nebulous banner of "freeware" can be contentious. If we go by what the sources say, it's much easier. Good sources to check are PC Magazine, PC World, and CNET. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 16:44, 13 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
