Ayame Ikehata

edit

Hi, Makitomoda. The article you started on Ayame Ikehata was unsourced and doesn't have much in the way of information. I tried to work on it myself earlier today, and added what little I could. If you have any sourcing and better proof of notability, please add it, as the article will be in danger of deletion without it. Regards. Dekkappai 22:47, 28 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi again, Makitomada. Ayame Ikehata has been put on the future AfD list of an editor who makes a practise of going straight to AfD without giving a "Notability" warning on the article. I've put the warning on the article to give concerned editors a chance to work on it before a formal AfD starts. Again, if you have any more information or sourcing, either in English or Japanese (or any other language), please add it before the article is deleted. Regards. Notability of Runa Akasaka

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Runa Akasaka, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Runa Akasaka seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Runa Akasaka, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Proposed deletion of Runa Akasaka

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Runa Akasaka, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Apparently does not Wikipedia:PORN_BIO

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Omarcheeseboro (talk) 18:02, 26 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

No problem, Makitomoda. I agree she's notable, but we need better sourcing for the article if we want to prevent its deletion. I'll search Japanese sources later tonight and see if I can add more. In the meantime, it really helps to have some kind of notability claim in place before starting an article-- some sort of award, some good sourcing, etc. Regards. Deletionism

edit

Yes, I agree... In fact this kind of head-hunting is what has drained my enthusiasm for Wikipedia... Anyway, please follow my warning above to avoid this kind of thing-- source the articles and put in proof of notability before they're posted. If you're working on an article in your workspace, feel free to ask me to help with this before posting it. Also, User:Cherryblossom1982 is very good with this kind of article. Regards. Dekkappai (talk) 21:29, 26 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'll try. I recently returned to WP following an identical incident; I feel I may be driven away yet again. WP seems to have cultivated small groups of people who believe that their level of ignorance should determine notability. Makitomoda (talk) 21:45, 26 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
I couldn't agree more! There is a large community of like minded editors who feel like you, see WP:ARS, and come help us. I thought you may find a section of this New York Review of Books article interesting, enlightening, and inspiring:

Speedy deletion of Kyoko Kashii

edit

A tag has been placed on Kyoko Kashii requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb1 (talk) 23:49, 27 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Kyoko Kashii

edit

Hi, Makitomoda. I notice you're trying to start an article on Kyoko Kashii... Before creating it again, it would be best to get sourcing and "notability" in place. If it's repeatedly created and speedy-deleted, the article is likely to be blocked from re-creation. I'll look around and see if I can find anything on Kyoko Kashii. But you might want to take a look at Cherryblossom's excellent work on Japanese Adult Video Awards, or the Pink Grand Prix article which I started. Both these articles list many adult actresses who have won awards in notable Japanese adult film categories. So if you're interested in starting an article on a subject listed as an award-winner, just put in a mention of the award, with a citation, and "notability" is already established. Anyway, good luck! Dekkappai (talk) 17:33, 1 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi again, Makitomoda. I've started some notes on Kyoko Kashii HERE. (Go into edit mode to see it best.) I don't see much right off-hand that would easily pass Wikipedia's "notability" criteria. I see she's a stripper as well as an AV actress, so we can look into that career as well-- if she's won any awards or had an article written on her as a stripper, that would help. Also, I notice she's a Japanese G-cup, so, if all else fails, she would certainly be welcome over at Boobpedia. So if we can't get an article on her here, Boobpedia will welcome her. In fact, I'll try to start one on her over there tonight. Cheers! Dekkappai (talk) 17:55, 1 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
OK-- I've just started the article at http://www.boobpedia.com/boobs/Kyouko_Kashii. Requirements for inclusion at Boobpedia are in the article's picture (so it's NOT work safe!), and you won't have some self-important, bigoted, know-nothing jack-ass come around to say, "I don't think anyone should read about her, because, um... But she's not 'notable'. Yeah, that sounds 'encyclopedic'" I highly recommend you join Boobpedia for writing on this type of topic. As long as the subject is above a US C-cup (about a Japanese E-cup, I think), she can have an article. And you won't have to deal with anywhere near the dumb-fuckery that goes on around here. Give it some thought. Cheers! Dekkappai (talk) 06:32, 2 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Maki Tomoda

Hey-- Maki Tomoda just won "Best New Actress" at the 2009 Pink Grand Prix.[1] I'd say her article is pretty safe now :) I'll try to work up the information on the 2009 ceremony tonight and add that to her article. Cheers! Dekkappai (talk) 20:34, 8 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
