The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Wojciech Czepiel, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://wojciechczepiel.com/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Speedy deletion nomination of Wojciech Czepiel

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Wojciech Czepiel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://wojciechczepiel.com/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. It has to dealt there and not in English Wikipedia but you can email info-en-qwikimedia.org. Your article Wojciech Czepiel is copied from a website which you claim is yours. If you would like to allow Wikipedia or another English Wikimedia site to use your content, be it text or images, but don't want to put a license statement on the website, you still must release it under the free licenses noted above and can do so in the following ways:

For text, you can send an email, ideally using the language from the template at Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries: (1) From an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org; (2) After sending the email, place OTRS pending on the article's talk page. Someone will reply to your email, indicating whether the content and your license is acceptable and update the page to indicate that the confirmation of the license has been received. For images, you can send an email, ideally using the language from the template at Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries: (1) From an address associated with the original publication to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org; (2) Then upload the file to Wikimedia Commons and place OTRS pending on the image page. Someone will reply to your email, indicating whether the content and your license is acceptable and update the page to indicate that the confirmation of the license has been received.check this.Pharaoh of the Wizards (talk) 20:28, 16 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

You said, "My name is Wojciech Czepiel and I am author and owner of the text both on www.wojciechczepiel.com and also here in wikipedia.". That text has been published on a website and it is copyright because it has been published. Wikipedia is licensed under CC-BY-SA 3.0 for use by anyone anywhere, but copyright text is not licensed in this way and must not be imported into Wikipedia. Please be aware also that you do not own text on Wikipedia. Text posted here that is original to here is automatically licensed under CC-BY-SA and you cannot control what happens to it after you have posted it. Articles here are not like pages on Facebook etc, where you have control of the page. I have removed a copy of it from this page as it was against our copyright policy, and also not what should be on a talk page. We have a couple of policies that you should read - one is WP:AUTOBIO about writing about yourself strongly not advised), and the other is WP:COI, writing on subjects you are close to (also not advised). As mentioned above, whatever goes on on the Polish or any other Wikipedia is not something we can deal with. This is the first and largest of the Wikipedias, but we have no control over the smaller ones. Several of us do edit other language Wikipedias, but only as any other editor. I think there are one or two administrators here that are also administrators on other Wikipedias, but I wouldn't swear to that. If you want to try again, I would suggest looking at other articles about other conductors, reading WP:BIO and WP:RS (about reliable independent sources needed to prove the notability), and then making a draft at User:MELKA103/DRAFT (click and save) that keeps well away from your published text. Work around the references you find before starting to write. When you think you are ready, please ask for advice and an opinion. Writing on Wikipedia is harder than it is on Facebook. A final tip that is nothing to do with Wikipedia - on your webpage I see you have right hand justification with hyphenation turned on. I always find it better to turn hyphenation off when right hand justification is in use (and it often looks better if it is turned off in left hand justification too). I like the effect of the right hand justification on your page, but in my opinion the little bits with hyphens spoil the effect. It's your page - this is just a comment from someone involved professionally with typography and not intended to cause offence. Peridon (talk) 12:03, 17 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
