Speedy deletion nomination of Lutaya Shafiq Holmes

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lutaya Shafiq Holmes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Kudpung (talk) 16:23, 18 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Your contributed article, Smallville (in Uganda)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Smallville (in Uganda). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Smallville. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Smallville - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Travelbird (talk) 18:48, 22 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of I Signia Internet Cafe

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on I Signia Internet Cafe, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

--SoCalSuperEagle (talk) 17:55, 23 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Page creation

edit

I never create a page unless I know for a fact that it will pass the notability test. That means it has reliable sources that provide a significant coverage for it beyond just restating plot information.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 16:43, 13 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Not everything, true or not, gets an article. Your internet cafe one was deleted as advertising. It read like an advert. But it would probably have failed notability anyway. Smallville was just a copy of another article. We don't do that. And your article about yourself didn't show any notability. What was the film? I don't mean the title - what sort of film was it, was it released to cinemas or put on Youtube? If Youtube, it's very unlikely to be notable by our standards. If in cinemas, where, and how big was your part in it? We need reliable independent sources WP:RS. Don't feel as if we're picking on you - we're not. There are thousands of articles that don't make it. I mean that - I've deleted 9000 of them... Peridon (talk) 18:09, 13 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

President of France

edit

Hi. When you have a concern with the content of an article, you must write on its talk page (Talk:President of France), not on the article itself. To answer your concern, Hollande has indeed been elected to become the new president, but he will only take office on May 15. Right now, he is referred to as the president-elect. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Lutaya Shafiq Holmes, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mengo (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
