Welcome edit

Hello Lowedwayne and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions, such as the ones to Ducks Unlimited Canada, do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox (but beware that the contents of the sandbox are deleted frequently) rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributors' help page, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! Drmies (talk) 03:03, 7 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

March 2019 edit

  You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Ducks Unlimited Canada. BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 02:34, 8 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

You have been edit-warring at this article, and you could be blocked right now for that (see WP:EDITWAR), but I will give you one more chance.
The substantive problem is that:
  1. You are trying to create an article using material which clearly breaches copyright. See the policy WP:COPYVIO
  2. The text you have been adding is blatantly promotional. Even if there was no copyright problem, it would still be unacceptable per WP:NPOV and WP:NOTPROMO
  3. You have provided no evidence that the topic meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines. See WP:N
If all you want to do is to publish a press release, then you are in the wrong place. Wikipedia is not a repository for press releases.
However, if you would like to write an an encyclopedic article on this topic, then that would be very welcome. You can do so by creating a draft article, follow the steps at Wikipedia:Articles for creation. But do remember not to use copyrighted material.
Best wishes, --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 02:43, 8 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Lowedwayne. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Ducks Unlimited Canada, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. In this message[1], apparently posted when you were logged out you wrote Hi. I'm with ducks unlimited Canada. That's a pretty clear statement of a COI. Blocked edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for sockpuppetry, edit-warring, copy violations, and repeatedly breaching WP:NPOV, as you did at Ducks Unlimited Canada.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 03:02, 8 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
