Thank you User: I dream of horses for the kind message. I've got involved in the discussion of one page, but "note to editors to validate a mention" were removed by someone who disagreed with me. I believe we should keep Lorenzo_Belenguer page and the other editor thinks it should be deleted. Can I validate the inclusion of these important galleries and museums with the following websites and citations?

Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion edit

This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident in which you may be involved. Thank you. Widefox; talk 10:37, 28 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

December 2014 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Lorenzo Belenguer. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Please don't remove the COI and other issues (even if you don't, in fact, have a COI yourself as others do) [1] Widefox; talk 12:58, 6 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Your recent talk page comments on Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Lorenzo_Belenguer were not added to the bottom of the page. New discussion page messages and topics should always be added to the bottom. Your message may have been moved by another user. In the future you can use the "New section" link in the top right. AfD edit

Hi LA2010, see WP:AFDFORMAT for help on how to discuss at the AfD. Regards Widefox; talk 01:08, 10 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

I'm replying down here edit

You have seemed to have gotten involved in a dispute because you removed the {{COI}} tag that was located at the top of the article. It's important that when you remove such a tag, that the issue is resolved beforehand. The article will be deleted if there's a supermajority at the AfD saying it should be deleted. However, adding references can't hurt. I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 20:52, 14 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

December 2014 edit

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Lorenzo Belenguer, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Adding sources - good, but this [2] also removed the failed verification/cn without explanation. As your account is an WP:SPA I've marked your comments at the AfD as such, and it appears that you have a close interest in only this article and it's retention, indicating you may have a COI (whether, in fact, you have or not) . Adding more WP:EXT links [3]) that have been removed, also indicates a desire to include links to promote. Widefox; talk 21:47, 15 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

July 2015 edit

I wasn't interested in responding to e-mails, and I would prefer communication be visible on Wiki. I'm not terribly interested in this case.

Anyhow:

  • theglassmagazine.com only mentions that he was featured in the 56th Venice Biennale. (No other mention on the page, so it doesn't count towards WP:GNG) - It doesn't support notability according to Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Creative_professionals because it's not a permanent art collection
  • I can't access the British Library page.. Is there a permanent URL that doesn't expire?

I really think at this point you should wait patiently until Belenguer satisfies Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Creative_professionals. There may be other Wikis that are more suitable for articles about up-and-coming artists who don't satisfy the notability requirements.

What will help you is a single source or two sources that truly meets the requirements, rather than throwing up every possible source with every mention of Belenguer. WhisperToMe (talk) 12:17, 12 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Londonart, I had asked you to give me "a single source or two sources that truly meets the requirements" - not a lot of links that may only have a tenuous connection. It takes a lot of time away from what I want to do. A lot of people will flat out ignore you if you dump a lot of stuff on them. You have to only give them what they really need to read.

A few things about the first part (the links about the books):

  • No matter what Belenguer publishes, it will not meet Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Creative_professionals unless it meets:
    • "The person has created or played a major role in co-creating a significant or well-known work or collective body of work. In addition, such work must have been the subject of an independent book or feature-length film or of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews.
    • The person's work (or works) either (a) has become a significant monument, (b) has been a substantial part of a significant exhibition, (c) has won significant critical attention, or (d) is represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums."
  • Also the rero.ch link doesn't work. Other than that, the fact that Belenguer wrote a book does not give him any evidence of notability.

WhisperToMe (talk) 21:51, 27 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Okay, a newspaper article with Belenguer as the subject may give the possibility of a new article: http://www.lasprovincias.es/culturas/201407/01/lorenzo-belenguer-conquista-londres-20140701211646.html - If there are two, three, or four of these published by a newspaper it may be something that can be used to make a new article. Let me go through the list... Again, don't post too many at one time because that will overwhelm people. WhisperToMe (talk) 22:38, 27 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Also we have to make sure the links are not routine exhibition announcements. Routine announcements do not count towards notability. WhisperToMe (talk) 22:52, 27 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Suggestion edit

--LondonArt2010 (talk) 12:26, 14 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thank you WhisperToMe. I've just done it. Wikipedia:Articles for creation Spanish newspaper article http://www.lasprovincias.es/culturas/201407/01/lorenzo-belenguer-conquista-londres-20140701211646.html And one article by a London magazine http://fadmagazine.com/2012/07/24/lorenzo-belenguer-art-opening-at-nellie-dean-tuesday-24th-july/

If anything is incorrect, please let me know. I appreciate it.

--LondonArt2010 (talk) 17:53, 16 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

I suggest using AFC: Wikipedia:Articles for creation. Honestly I suggest only giving the AFC creator the Spanish newspaper articles, and maybe one of two London magazines which have Belenguer as the main subject. Please tell me when you've submitted the AFC.

Someone else will write the article for you. WhisperToMe (talk) 15:30, 15 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Dear WhisperToMe

I suggested the article using AFC: Wikipedia:Articles for creation and including the two articles on the 15th November 2015, but nothing seems to be happening.

I thought the two articles and the Heritage Lottery Fund publication about the London 2012 project was enough to undelete the page. It's being kept in the British Library and VIAF. It doesn't need to be created again, just improved.

Please let me know, if there's something else it needs to be done.

I'll take a look at the source. I may as well try doing a draft of a short article based on the Spanish newspaper articles sometime. I'll have some guys take a look at the draft WhisperToMe (talk) 21:55, 17 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thank you WhisperToMe If you need anything else, please let me know.

LondonArt2010 (talk) 13:05, 18 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Dear WhisperToMe

I was wondering if you managed to compose the draft or if you need any help. This a copy of the page from which you may want to get some information http://us.wow.com/wiki/Lorenzo_Belenguer

Belenguer has just had a solo show in London and this is the article I found http://wsimag.com/art/18064-lorenzo-belenguer It mentions his previous shows at the Tate Modern and Serpentine Gallery in line with the Spanish article you suggested.

LondonArt2010 (talk) 17:18, 3 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Started one at User:WhisperToMe/Lorenzo Belenguer - I would need one more article, then I can see what other Wikipedians think WhisperToMe (talk) 20:34, 3 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

This might be a good one: http://www.eliberico.com/tres-espanoles-se-suman-al-arte-protesta-en-una-galeria-de-londres.html - It's a Spanish paper distributed in London WhisperToMe (talk) 20:41, 3 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thank you WhisperToMe

It's looking good. I think you may want to add this article about his time in the gallery http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/news/local-news/artist-who-keeping-gallery-free-5972001

These are his inclusions of his publication of the London 2012 Olympics published by the Heritage Lottery Fund

British Library http://primocat.bl.uk/F?func=direct&local_base=ITEMV&doc_number=017186595&con_lng=eng

VIAF http://viaf.org/processed/LC%7Cnb2015008618

I've just find out that Belenguer has been included in the book "Art in Minutes" with Jeff Koons https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=u7yxCAAAQBAJ&pg=PT556&lpg=PT556&dq=%22lorenzo+belenguer%22&source=bl&ots=TILYyBuc36&sig=vDYimDjw_Xpy7SGE-sgR1Xi3N1U&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwihtIiDwKfLAhWEVhQKHeDND3U4HhDoAQhEMAg#v=onepage&q=%22lorenzo%20belenguer%22&f=false

Please let me know if your colleagues need more independent sources. Thank you

LondonArt2010 (talk) 17:25, 4 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Dear WhisperToMe

I was wondering if you've managed to discuss the page with your colleagues or if you prefer to carry on the publication of the page by myself.

This is an article about his latest solo show that I'm aware of. http://wsimag.com/art/18064-lorenzo-belenguer

LondonArt2010 (talk) 12:02, 9 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Is this a routine gallery/exhibition announcement or is it a feature article? I wonder if maybe an article in a different magazine would be better.
WhisperToMe (talk) 01:35, 10 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Dear WhisperToMe

Thank you for your comments.

Perhaps this review from last October is fine http://www.makma.net/el-caos-ordenado-de-lorenzo-belenguer/

And this article from his current show http://www.xtrart.es/2016/05/06/lorenzo-belenguer-explora-el-minimalismo-junto-a-5-artistas-en-londres/

They both come from respectable art magazines.
