Verification

edit

Whining at me to "stop" across multiple article histories isn't helpful if you don't provide said verification. This sort of thing is why you provide sources. ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 14:20, 16 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

If you looked up sources for yourself, for a change, instead of sitting and deleting stuff like a robot because not every tiny little detail is sourced, you'd find that the data you edited out was confirmed so many times by grand sources like www.pokemon.co.jp, that are too obvious to mention, or at least, to miss. --Lividore 14:30, 16 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
Burden of evidence. Please do read it. ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 23:09, 16 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yes I know about it, thank you very much. However, I didn't add that information, and I still don't see why you couldn't, in the minimal amount of energy you spent to delete all this, to just try and see if it is verifiable for yourself. Things are hardly there for so long for no reason, and mind you, you wouldn't have to go over all these articles.

I'm kinda busy right now (there's a theory that Grass Pokémon could change with the weath ^_^) but I'll try and chip in. I don't know if the box art has been added to wikipedia yet, but if you can add the individual box art images, that would be great. Highway Batman! 15:35, 12 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Pachirisu9zs.png

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Pachirisu9zs.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

About the three new Pokemon pics! PLEASE READ!!!

edit

Hi, it's me yet again, as you will undoubtly notice, I changed the pics of all three Pokemon back to the SPP versions!

What I ask of you, is that you delete the previous pics from you record COMPLETELY, so no one can access them, that would mean so much to me!

Don't take this the wrong way, you're a great guy, but this is all my fault, and I'm trying to fix my mistake, so all I ask is that you'll help me!

From Hero of legend!

Thanks for being nice! :)

I know the pics don't "belong" to him, but he's like this because he was the one who made the pics the quality they are, and he wants credit for them!

Though if I were in his shoes, I wouldn't care, but since I'm not, I don't want to look like a theif to him!

From Hero of legend!

Can you add the pics of Pachirisu and Dorapion from the Pokemon yahoo site as well please?

edit

Guess who!

Yeah, now that the offical site has great quality pics, we can finally put this whole mess to rest!

So when possible, can you add those pics please?

And can you get rid of the records, becuase there's a lot of records and it takes up a bit of memory doesn't it?

You did all this for Cherimu already!

Thanks!

No offence, but was there a point to this? Highway Return to Oz... 17:24, 1 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry, it was a mistake. I wanted to change the Japanese name of Electabuzz to match the rest of the articles (the romanization as opposed to the original name - Eleboo -> Erebū), and I guess I went to the previous edit in "history", saw Erebū and saved it, thus omitting the rest of your changes. I'm really tired... Sorry. --Lividore 17:33, 1 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I can't wait for the English names, there are incredibly annoying to remember. ;) I rewrote the articles, hope it keeps it tone with your editing. I also shot dead any "known attacks" sections I saw, I hope you'll do the same. Cheers, Highway Return to Oz... 11:37, 6 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

The Japanese names are annoying, but don't expect the English names to be revealed soon. :) I remember Treecko, Torchic and Mudkip were revealed a month after the games' release in Japan, which was about mid-November. Anyway, you're doing a commendable job on the starter articles, I'm just tying the loose ends. I really want to give you a Staryu Star or something like that, but I don't know how, I think you deserve a Starmie Star. ;) Perhaps this proves I'm still new to Wikipedia, and students shouldn't give away citations. --Lividore 11:53, 6 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thank you! I'm very happy with my Starmie, I like renaming the awards, they're all very silly. I think the Exceptional Newcomer Award was renamed The Butterfree Award of Exceptional Newnes. But what is the problem? This information is confirmed. Should I cite the source in the article itself, too? This was not done in any of the other articles.--Lividore 10:52, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yes, unless you cite the source, it's unsourced information. Koroboshi was the first I came to, can you tell me the others? Highway Daytrippers 10:56, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oh, nevermind, I thought the unsourced information you referred to was the height/weight stats. I didn't notice you reverted another edit so I reverted it again, along with the real unsourced info. Sorry. --Lividore 11:00, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

By the way, the other piece of information (Korobooshi's biology) is also legit. The source is Japanese, though...--Lividore 11:04, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Is it a reliable Japanese source? If so, you can just start the ref with {{jp icon}}! Cheers, Highway Daytrippers 12:07, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Dorapion

edit

Yeah, just like that guy above this message's problem, needs confirmation on Sukorupi, yadda yadda. A webpage would help, or a scanned magazine article or something like that. Your word won't do, I'm afraid, so I'm removing it until you come up with the proof. (Forgive my brusque manner, it's just that people adding unsourced statements all over the shop, and me having to edit them out, leaves me jaded... I'm not saying there's anything wrong with you personally.) Vitriol 03:30, 29 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mitsuhoney and Beequeen

edit

I would like to direct you to WP:MOS-JA where there is a naming convention that states that the English equivalent can be used. It is obvious that "Mitsuhanī" is "Mitsuhoney" and "Bīkuin" is "Beequeen". While you may not believe that these romanicizations are correct, others may disagree, such as myself and other members of WP:PCP. Ryūlóng 09:09, 1 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

No, I do believe that these are the official romanizations, I just try to be as accurate as possible, and they were not confirmed. But if their use can be justified, I won't revert them again. --Lividore 09:13, 1 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Names reported by Serebii

TCG names

edit

Please don't use a link to an image on a fansite as a source. Anyone with some skill at image manipulation could easily make a fake TCG card - we need to see the web page these cards actually are coming from, for starters, so we can see the context they're used in. If they're "this is what the card might look like..." then that's obviously not a valid source... as it stands, pokemonelite2000 still wouldn't be qualifying under WP:ATT regardless - an actual official release is still being awaited. -JC 11:19, 20 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

It's on their news page (http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/). They don't claim to be speculation (in which case they wouldn't be accepted at all), and seem to claim to be real images. Of course, the photoshopping possibility is valid, so I, at least, won't object to not using those card images as sources. —M_C_Y_1008 (talk/contribs) 11:55, 20 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image:Masquerade Ball.jpg

edit

Hi Lividore. You uploaded Image:Masquerade Ball.jpg back in 2006 and tagged it with a creative commons license. But the website you got it from does not provide any information suggesting it is licensed that way. It looks like a normal copyrighted image we could not normally use except under a fair use claim. Do you have a release from the website or other information that could prove the license you added? Thanks -- SiobhanHansa 12:41, 30 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Chimchar

edit

A tag has been placed on Chimchar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. E Wing (talk) 03:09, 1 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
