Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, LisbetLL. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
  • instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 11:13, 21 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

February 2016

edit

  Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. • I've deleted some content that you've made, as it came across as promotional in tone. Even if this wasn't your intent, you need to be very, very careful that you edit in a neutral tone and you also need to ensure that any content you create would pass notability guidelines. This means that you would show how you and your work pass notability guidelines per WP:NAUTHOR or WP:NBOOK. Just being published as an author isn't enough, so you will need to show where the books have received reviews in reliable sources and/or where you have received coverage in independent and reliable sources. It's heavily discouraged for people to write their own articles and I'll post some information about this in a bit. I'm actually not sure that you pass NAUTHOR, to be honest. Don't take this poorly - it's very difficult to pass notability guidelines and I've seen some authors routinely sell well enough to where they have a large fan following, yet still not pass notability guidelines.
I also have to warn you about uploading material that has a watermark on it - this is discouraged because it can make it more difficult to see the image subject (in this case yourself). You also need to be careful since uploading an image can mean that you're submitting it as fair use - that anyone can use the image. Uploading an image with a copyright mark across the image can give off the opposite impression. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 11:22, 21 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not write or add to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Proposed deletion of Lisbet Lücke Larsen

edit

The article Lisbet Lücke Larsen has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Other than a lone review, I can't find enough to justify her passing WP:NAUTHOR.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
