John Lincoln

edit

As a new user there are aspects of wikipedia that you may have missed. (1) there is a formal process for new articles, called Articles for creation and (2) once approved an article can only be deleted by going through a formal process called articles for deletion. You have has made edits to John Lincoln, the effect of which is to delete the substance of the article on a notable Australian judge, without consensus that it meets any of the criteria for deletion. Further you have effectively created a new article on John D. Lincoln without this being reviewed as to whether it meets the requirements for notability and other elements in relation to biorgarphies of living people. This is likely to have been a mistake made in good faith, in which case I am sure that having brought it to your attention, you will not make that particular mistake again.

Don't worry that your work has been lost - wikipedia maintains the history of edits and this revision is the latest that referred to John D Lincoln. I went to create an article at John D. Lincoln however I noticed a message that such an article has recently been deleted on the basis that it was an article about a real person, which did not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject. I note that you have included various references however I have not reviewed them to assess if the article meets the notability criteria. Accordingly what I have done is created it as a draft at User:Lerjamka/sandbox/John D. Lincoln. When you think it is ready to be moved to the mainspace, add {{subst:submit}} at the top of the draft. --Find bruce (talk) 01:13, 10 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
