Roseanne final episode monologue edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Roseanne final episode monologue, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Roseanne final episode monologue. Catherine Tate Show edit

Hi there. Noticed your edits to The Catherine Tate Show characters, one involving a revert of my edit. My reasoning for merging these stubs into the body of the article is it just makes the article look so much neater, as characters such as Neville, Leonard Mincing, Martin etc will never be more than a stub section. It's much better that they are merged accordingly as they only include one or two sentences. I was however pondering on the Ryan and Liz sections, but what might be better is to have the two sections merged together as a subheading under The Catherine Tate Show characters#Lauren Cooper?

On another note, your revert involved changing the tense of the Lauren Cooper section, e.g Lauren Cooper was a fiction character ..... etc. Check out Albus Dumbledore for an example. Eagle Owl (talk) 10:38, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Bologna sausage (d:Q543025) article contains subjects about many kind of sausages, when fi:Lauantaimakkara deals only with lauantaimakkara in Finland. From lauantaimakkara article: "lauantaimakkara is not known outside of Finland". Mama's Family edit edit

I myself was confused and didn't even know Eunice the movie had a page until yesterday when I clicked that "Eunice" link to be directed to the character page but realized it was for a movie. I actually follow the Mama's Family pages closely and was surprised to learn the Eunice movie has had a page for nearly a year. I have tried to resolve the matter by putting in a clarification in italics. If you still take issue, we'll have to open up the debate on the talk page to third and fourth parties but we're not allowed to continually revert each other. And since you'd be the first to break the 3-revert rule, I am just warning you that you'd be the one in danger of being blocked. AmericanDad86 (talk) 08:22, 20 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

One would think as the creator of that article, you would want to make its existence unequivocally clear and have no problem with my clarification efforts. Your response to challenge me on my efforts to clarify has been the opposite of what one would expect given I'm only trying to make the article's existence clear.
Whatever the case, it seems we're not going to see eye to eye on the edit so I've put together a poll on the Mama's Family article talk page, as shown here Talk:Mama's Family#Poll to "keep" or "remove" film clarification. Feel free to add any side to the argument you feel I didn't cover within your vote on the matter.
Also, just an fyi, it doesn't matter how polite you are in a revert war, breaking the 3-revert rule is against Wikipedia policy and is grounds for a block. When an edit war is taking place, wikipedia policy states that users are to hash it out on the article talk page and if that doesn't work, request the opinions of other parties outside of the debate on the matter. As it seems you and I are firmly in disagreement, I have skipped to seeking the opinion of other parties. Cheers! AmericanDad86 (talk) 11:34, 20 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Mama's Family ending edit

Regarding your edit here [1], this is all speculation as I can't find any proof online, but broadcasters typically won't let go of a show that's doing well in the ratings for no apparent reason. I think Vicki Lawrence was the reason the show ended, not desiring to sign on again because of the mounting resentment from the person who got her to where she is, Carol Burnett. As I'm sure you know, Carol long resented Vicki for this run with the Mama character as she was aligned with her ex-husband, Joe Hamilton. Vicki probably said after the contract is up, I'm out. Carol of course even refused to speak to her all those years during the show's successful run in syndication. Ken Berry even sounded confused as to why the show ended in one interview, going so far as stating "Vicki just tired of playing the role." Ken blamed Vicki for the show's end in one interview. I just wish Vicki would admit it but she probably doesn't want to upset Carol. JudgeJudyCourthouse25 (talk) 07:58, 6 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

In Vicki Lawrence's interview with the formerly known Archive of American Television (now The Interviews), https://interviews.televisionacademy.com/interviews/vicki-lawrence, she states that she wanted the series to go on, but the syndicators told the cast that they had enough episodes for syndication and that the series would end Leopea (talk) 15:35, 7 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your reply. I haven't seen that interview in several years, from my recollection, all that Vicki said was that they had enough episodes for syndication and it met it's threshold. It was kind of a vague comment the way she said it. Also, if you think about it. Mama's end was sort of incomplete. There was no formal ending. Vint and Naomi had a baby and lived in the backyard wasn't much of a closer. I wish Burnett would have celebrated Vicki's success instead of tearing her down given Burnett pretty much begged Vicki to do the show on her own.
