June 2012 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to Lucy Carr, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. Thank you. Your concerns about the article about you edit

Lucy,

I have attempted to alleviate your concerns about this article by remove the tabloid gossip, which does not belong in an encyclopedia, and agree with you that there is no need for Wikipedia to have an article about you on the basis that you had a couple of minor chart hits. Deletion of this article is being discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lucy Carr, where several editors have supported keeping the article, so don't raise your hopes too much yet, but you are welcome to join in the discussion. The best thing that you can do is to send an email to info-en-q@wikimedia.org per the procedure described at Wikipedia:Contact us/Article problem/Factual error (from subject). A responder will then verify your identity, which may help give your views more weight, and will treat anything you write with confidentiality. Phil Bridger (talk) 17:31, 20 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

You should hopefully get a response to your email by tomorrow. Phil Bridger (talk) 19:17, 20 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks very much for your help Phil Ladymanor13 (talk) 20:06, 20 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

As you may have noticed, your Wikipedia article has been kept. I argued (successfully, it seems) that it was worth mentioning your musical career and hit singles, and leaving it at that. As a longtime struggling musician, the fact you've done twice what I'll probably never do is notable enough to go on Wikipedia. For what it's worth, I am mentioned in Wikipedia under my real (birth) name for something I did when I was about 13 years old that has no real bearing on what I do now, so I have some vague idea of what this is like. --Ritchie333 (talk) 20:33, 27 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
