Welcome! edit

Hello, LBache, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited appears to be an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome!

Speedy deletion nomination of User:LBache edit

A tag has been placed on User:LBache requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. All that was ever done was try to correct information that appears on line, and that information was from SEC filings, no where on the internet has anyone ever used the historical information on my family, for commercial purposes. I answered a request for why info was changed, explained that we were gathering historical information on our family, and one of its companies. Then I just saw the deletion note. No one has attempted to correct this information that is wrong, regarding ownership for the 2 years since the issue was raised. I’m confused.

Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, LBache. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Bache & Co., you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Cabayi (talk) 19:57, 3 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

I have updated the Bache & co. website with current information, it has never been used for paid or business use, I have added publicly released information in the citations section. I did go in and add a disclosure that our press agent was updating info released to the SEC, the CFTC and the public, as required by law, after seeing your banner, so their would be no confusion. My family traces its roots back to Benjamin Franklin's daughter Sarah, who married Richard Bache. I have tried to edit on a historical basis, as the firm is part of history, is still active, and that was not being disclosed in the article. I am open to advice on how to proceed with this. I have backed up and documented everything, added the disclosure, and our sites on Instagram, twitter news feed we provide to approx 900 trading desks and Instagram where we connect with approx 600+ coin dealers. I am very open and will happily exclude the last 10-30 years of one of America’s premier banks, stopping the bank failures in 2006, 1929 and 1907. LBache (talk) 01:48, 3 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

April 2018 edit

  Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Bache & Co.. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Read and follow WP:COI. As an employee of the company you have a serious conflict of interest and should propose any changes on the article's talk page for discussion by other editors rather than making them yourself. Please also read WP:MINOR. Your edits are clearly not minor. Don't add material to the article that belongs on the talk page. Meters (talk) 17:33, 21 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

The wrong list of corporate officers was given, I did not consider correcting it major. Some dates given were corrected, I included links to SEC filings showing dates I used were correct.

I was On WIKI for 13 years and never had a problem. I have published corporate histories for 6 public companies, written for Reuter’s, Rare Coin News, OTCNews and published over 100 web sites - in those 13 years, all of a sudden an editor started deleting anything I wrote. I’m ok if I’m shown I was not correct, but somehow it got personal, I think because I’m Jewish, and our family history traces to the founding fathers of our country. April 2019 edit

This user also has been very disruptive on the International Silver Company page-- reframing it to fit the purposes of a newer company called "International Silver, Ltd." and partly erasing 80 important years of silver history. Against Wikipedia policy, no citations were included in two paragraphs describing the new company which has a completely different sales focus. There indeed seem fundamental conflicts of interest. If to pursue, add two sentences at the end of the ISC page-- with a citation, and make "International Silver, Ltd." an entirely new wikipedia page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrdnartdesign (talkcontribs) 08:21, 28 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
