Hello, I am new to wikipedia.I have requested an article tobe written under NonProfitOrganisation/Gwalior Gwalior Children's Charity. Can you please tell me whether the short description needs any change and what I should do as next step? And when will the article I requested be available? 12:38, 17 October 2016 (UTC)

Hello. Requested articles are a list for editors looking to create articles but don't know what to write about (or editors wanting to write those requested articles). There's no time-frame, and it's all voluntary. The article might never be written, be it because the organization isn't notable, or because no one got around to do it. If you're not affiliated with the organization (see Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure, and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest), be bold and write it yourself (while of course keeping the guidelines in mind.) —Hexafluoride Ping me if you need help, or post on my talk 13:57, 17 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Kvseshwary/sandbox

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Kvseshwary/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Thank you for your email. In the future I prefer leaving a message on my talk, or pinging me on yours. That allows me to keep track of the discussions in one place.

As for your article. Whether the article gets written or not, even if notable, depends on the people looking through that list. A requested article might be notable, but no one looking that day is interested in writing about wild life for example. That's why I said it depends on the volunteers, and that there's no time frame.

I should mention that Wikipedia is not a means of promotion. Articles should be written because they're notable, regardless of their importance. You have a conflict of interest (COI) with that charity, and that's problematic.

I've looked up the organization, and I couldn't find notable sources that mention it. I only found donation sites and social media profiles. The organization's website can't be used as a foundation, because it's a primary source, and not independent or verifiable.

Please read Your first article, and look for a similar article on a well known charity to model your article on. Declare your COI, and submit a draft. Note that the draft needs to be like the end article. That means inline citations, reliable, 3rd party, verifiable, neutral sources showing the charity's notability.

I'm sorry if all of this seems overwhelming, but it's necessary to keep Wikipedia an encyclopedia. —Hexafluoride Ping me if you need help, or post on my talk 10:34, 18 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Hexafluoride: Thankyou for the information provided.

Can you please go through the new link about the charity organisation in a printed magazine [1] 'PARADISE FOR WEAKEN' pageNo:77,78. This is the new issue of Soulsteer Magazine, carrying the story of Snehalaya. Magazine can be read online at soulsteer1.blogspot.in. The Magazine is available at Central India Salon and Barista Gwalior.

I hope with the above printed article in magazine I can prove the charity's notability with respect to inline citations, reliable, 3rd party, verifiable, neutral sources. You have also mentioned that I have of a conflict of interest with charity,So with the links provided Is it possible that any of the wikipedia volunteer will write a wikipedia page about the charity organisation . Kvseshwary (talk) 13:26, 2 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Blogs and other self-published sources, or user-generated content (including Wikipedia, and social media) aren't reliable sources. Print media in general is verifiable and can be considered reliable. If you want to cite the magazine, you shouldn't use the blog link. Use {{cite magazine}} even if the publisher doesn't provide online access.
The magazine article is a start, but you still need more reliable sources. They don't have to be in English; they can be regional and in Hindu, for example, so long that they are independent and reliable. Please see WP:ORGIN, and WP:ORG#Primary criteria, in the notability guidelines of organizations and companies. Best of luck to you. —Hexafluoride Ping me if you need help, or post on my talk 20:25, 2 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
