Welcome! edit

Hello, Kswikiaccount, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions, though I reverted your edit to User talk:Guy1890 per WP:OWNTALK. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

You may also want to take the Wikipedia Adventure, an interactive tour that will help you learn the basics of editing Wikipedia. You can visit The Teahouse to ask questions or seek help.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Again, welcome! Hi Drmies, if you have time, I'm kind of curious why you reverted the edit. The editor Guy1890 is going against wikipedia policies by being uncivil and unwelcoming, so I added links to wikipedia pages so he could learn how to be less uncivil. Thanks for leaving this information.Kswikiaccount (talk) 18:29, 12 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

1RR edit

Just so you know there is a one revert rule on Democratic Party presidential primaries, 2016 in place, please self revert. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 20:18, 8 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

You are the one that broke the 1RR when you reverted my revert of your edit on June 8. Kswikiaccount (talk) 20:28, 8 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
I had no way of knowing that was you, 1RR says "by an editor" log in next time. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 20:33, 8 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
I have no idea what you're talking about. Tone down your behavior, I'm insulted by this "log in next time". I was logged in, and seeing as to how you're the one that made the mistake, go on the Democratic Primary talk page and tell everyone you made a mistake. Or is it everyone else that is at fault except you, the god? Kswikiaccount (talk) 21:13, 8 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Brother Ali edit

You should check out Brother Ali. He is white (because of a congenital disorder called albinism). [1] [2] [3] [4] The Quixotic Potato (talk) 14:11, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

I've heard of him before. He's pretty cool. Thanks for posting this. Lol. BTW how did you figure out I like Brother Ali? Kswikiaccount (talk) 17:01, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Of course I wasn't 100% sure, but I read your post on the RefDesk and I figured you would probably like Brother Ali too. I often trust my gut-feelings. My gut speaks truthiness! I have been listening to hiphop for over 25 years now. If you have any recommendations of artists I should listen to then please let me know; I am always looking for ways to expand my collection. I dislike most of the "bitches & bling"-stuff but there are many other styles I do enjoy, from hardcore hiphop and horrorcore, political hip hop and conscious hip hop to chaphop and nerdcore. The Quixotic Potato (talk) 18:53, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

@The Quixotic Potato:Sure, I love the coup. They tend to take a more serious stance on racism then a lot of other artists.Kswikiaccount (talk) 21:15, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

My userpage (NSFW, 18+) contains a link to The Coup - I Ain't The Nigga! I think I have every album made by The Coup and dead prez. Mo Asumang made a very interesting documentary; highly recommended! Here is a list of a small part of my music collection. I have a lot more, but this list should give an indication of the stuff I've been listening to. I hope you know some good artists that are not on the list. The Quixotic Potato (talk) 21:20, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, okay. edit

You cannot claim I broke 1RR for undoing my own edit. S51438 (talk) 19:07, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Ok, so 2 Reverts in 24 hours is not a violation of the 1RR? Kswikiaccount (talk) 21:14, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
See Wikipedia:Edit_warring#3RR_exemptions and the section below that one. The Quixotic Potato (talk) 21:37, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
I've read that section before I told him he violated 1RR on that page. He was not changing vandalism or copyright or any other exemption. Kswikiaccount (talk) 22:57, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Ah, ok, I didn't actually check the edits because I am too lazy; I just pointed out that reverting yourself is exempt from 3RR and 1RR. The Quixotic Potato (talk) 23:02, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Where does it say that reverting one's own edits are exempt from 1RR? I see that for 3RR. [*https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Revert_only_when_necessary#One-revert_rule] Michael Sheflin (talk) 00:52, 10 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Msheflin: The page you linked to is an essay. The page I linked to is policy. The difference is explained over here. The page I linked to at 21:37 says that reverting ones own edits is exempt from 3RR. It also explains what the difference is between 3RR and 1RR. Please read Wikipedia:Edit_warring#3RR_exemptions and the section below that one.
Quote: The one-revert rule is analogous to the three-revert rule as described above, with the words "more than three reverts" replaced by "more than one revert". The Quixotic Potato (talk) 02:29, 10 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. Michael Sheflin (talk) 03:04, 10 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
