Help me!

edit

Please help me with with my edit for the page: Daren Shiau. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daren_Shiau

I have put in as much citations as I can, but I still see the message that there is insufficient inline citations. How can I rectify this? Are there any specific lines that I should add citations?

Please help!

Thank you!

Hi Krazyrockstar -- there as a tag in double braces at the top of the page that someone put in the article which said it didn't have enough footnotes. It's not an automatic count. If you think there are enough, you can simply remove the tag -- as long as it doesn't become a back and forth of add-remove-add-remove, it's okay to do so. I went ahead and removed the notice, since it looks like there are enough. All the best, -- Michael Scott Cuthbert (talk) 10:48, 5 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi hi, please see if I have done the image description correctly for the bio photo of Daren Shiau.

By the way, how do I remove the black outline around the bio photo in the infobox? Also, how do i left align the section title "website" in the infobox? It is automatically centralised currently.

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Krazyrockstar. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Daren Shiau, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Lemongirl942 (talk) 08:51, 8 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion

edit

  There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident with which you may be involved. Thank you. Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 06:33, 25 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Justanothersgwikieditor: Hello, I got your message. Sorry I am still trying to figure out how to use Wikipedia fluently, so I am not sure if I am doing this correctly.

First off, I am doing his page because I am familiar with his works. I have met him on two occasions in a book event, does tat count as COI? How can I prove that there is no COI in my updates? Would appreciate your guidance in this. Thank you! Krazyrockstar (talk) 05:19, 26 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Thanks for responding but since I raised this issue to the COI noticeboard, it will be best if you reply over there. The direct link is here and I will reply to you over there as well. --Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 05:57, 26 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
